Semana do Meio Ambiente: presidente da ABES-PE ministra palestra no CREA em Recife

Nesta terça, 6 de junho, a presidente da ABES Pernambuco (ABES-PE), Bárbara Cavalcanti, apresentou palestra no âmbito do projeto ABES Itinerante, desenvolvido pela seção, no Terça no CREA, realizado em comemoração à Semana do Meio Ambiente. O evento aconteceu no Auditório do Conselho, na capital pernambucana.

Em sua abordagem, Bárbara Cavalcanti, informou dados importantes sobre as questões de saneamento no Brasil. Segundo ela, 42% dos esgotos do país possuem tratamento, já no Nordeste esse percentual cai para 32%. “Hoje possuímos cerca de 3,5 milhões de pessoas que fazem despejo de esgoto irregular”, afirmou. Além disso, Bárbara também falou sobre o programa Jovens Profissionais de Saneamento – JPS, que está em processo de implantação na ABES-PE.

Participaram também do evento Sergio Xavier dos Santos, Arlania Timóteo, membros da administração da seção pernambucana da ABES, além de Clarissa Sena e Beatriz Almeida, integrantes do JPS-PE.

ABES Itinerante

O projeto ABES Itinerante foi lançado pela seção pernambucana em 2016. O objetivo da iniciativa é ir aos diversos setores com atividade diretas ou indiretas com à Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental, com o intuito de divulgar e fortalecer a ABES-P, buscando novos e resgatando antigos sócios.
