ABES-RS debate Plano Estadual de Saneamento do Rio Grande do Sul

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção Rio Grande do Sul – ABES-RS, em parceria com o Governo do Estado, promoveu nesta segunda, dia 5 de setembro, no Plenarinho da Assembleia Legislativa, em Porto Alegre, a primeira edição do Ciclo “Desafios do Saneamento do RS – Construindo o PLANESAN”. O evento ocorreu logo após o lançamento do Plano Estadual de Saneamento do RS (leia mais aqui).

O evento contemplou dois painéis. No primeiro, foi abordado o tema “Saneamento, Saúde e Meio Ambiente no RS”, destacando os indicadores de saúde e panorama do saneamento do estado; os desafios do saneamento nos municípios atendidos pela Corsan; e a situação dos recursos hídricos no RS e sua relação com o saneamento básico. Já o segundo painel levou aos presentes o debate sobre o “Saneamento: um desafio para além das cidades”; cujos tópicos principais foram: o indicador de salubridade ambiental como norteador das ações em saneamento; os indicadores de salubridade e sua aplicação; e a proposta do ISA/RS e o Plano Estadual de Saneamento.

Para a presidente da ABES-RS, Jussara Kalil Pires, “a atividade foi um ótimo ‘esquentar de motores’ para a elaboração do PLANESAN. Foram trazidas preocupações e alternativas de soluções de problemas importantes elementos para a elaboração do plano”, ressalta.
