JPS-MG promove palestra sobre programa da Copasa de recebimento e controle de efluentes não domésticos

No dia 7 de março, o programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento – JPS da ABES-MG, que é coordenado por Ana Stela Victor Takaesu, promoveu na cidade de Belo Horizonte/MG, em parceria com o Instituto Metodista Izabel Hendrix (onde o evento foi realizado) e a Companhia de Saneamento de Minas Gerais – Copasa, a palestra “PRECEND”. Na ocasião, os engenheiros Karine Soares e Carlos Ambrósio explicaram para os alunos e convidados sobre os objetivos e os procedimentos do programa de recebimento de efluentes de origem não doméstica.

A palestra é informativa e tem o intuito de fazer os alunos entenderem o que é o PRECEND – sigla para “Programa de Recebimento e Controle de Efluentes Não Domésticos”-, da Copasa, e o porquê de a empresa solicitar aos empreendimentos esse estudo, e quais são os aspectos que são analisados entre outros.
“Tendo em vista que muitos estudantes da Engenharia Ambiental e outras, bem como a sociedade civil no geral desconhecem o termo “PRECEND”, o Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento – JPS-MG, através da nova vertente do Programa Capacitar, viu a necessidade de explanar sobre o assunto”, ressalta Ana Stela Takaesu.
Os objetivos do PRECEND são:
– Reduzir os riscos relacionados à saúde dos trabalhadores que lidam com o sistema público de esgotos;
– Assegurar a integridade das tubulações que recebem toda a sorte de despejos;
– Proteger o sistema coletor contra corrosão, incrustação, obstrução e vapores tóxicos;
– Evitar a ocorrência de explosões e inflamabilidade;
– Prevenir a introdução de poluentes que passam pela ETE e continuam a poluir os cursos d’água;
– Prevenir o lançamento de poluentes tóxicos além de limites permitidos que possam  causar desequilíbrio ou perda do processo de tratamento de esgotos;
– Viabilizar o atendimento aos padrões legais referentes às características do efluente final e lodos produzidos nas ETEs;
– Viabilizar a utilização do efluente final das ETEs para reúso industrial.
