A ABES-SP esteve presente, nesta segunda-feira, 23 de abril, no primeiro dia do “6º Seminário Internacional – Dia Mundial da Água – Água para a Natureza”, promovido pela Associação dos Engenheiros e Especialistas da CETESB e do Meio Ambiente – ASEC CETESB, em comemoração aos seus 25 anos de fundação e ao Dia Mundial da Água (celebrado em 22 de março). A ABES-SP é apoiadora da iniciativa, que acontece até o dia 25 no auditório Augusto Ruschi, na CETESB.

Representando o presidente Márcio Gonçalves na abertura, o engenheiro Ricardo Ribeiro (na foto principal, à esquerda), responsável pela área institucional da ABES-SP, salientou a satisfação da entidade em integrar mais uma edição do encontro.

As palestras ficaram por conta da engenheira Roseane M. Garcia Lopes de Souza, diretora da associação e coordenadora das Câmaras Técnicas de Saúde Pública e de Resíduos Sólidos, e do geógrafo Thomas Ficarelli, coordenador do Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES-SP (JPS-SP).

Roseane falou sobre o tema segurança da água

Com o tema “A segurança da Água: um olhar na saúde da população”, Roseane destacou a importância da segurança da água, que envolve: classificação (água bruta e tratada), qualidade, quantidade, continuidade, cobertura e custo. Falou sobre exposição e riscos e caracterização dessa população exposta, o que exige uma pesquisa de campo por meio de questionários estruturados. Também mencionou o Ranking ABES da Universalização do Saneamento 2017, que faz um panorama do saneamento no país (conheça o estudo aqui).

Para Roseane, o evento é uma iniciativa importante para promover a discussão sobre temas relevantes e atuais dentro da área do saneamento e da questão pública. “São três dias de duração, com palestras e temas relevantes. Falei sobre a questão pública e segurança da água, que é relevante e atual. A questão da segurança da água, sempre friso, é o uso da metodologia para assegurar a distribuição dentro do padrão, que seja segura e não cause risco à saúde.”

Jovens e o mercado de trabalho

O geógrafo Thomas Ficarelli, coordenador do Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento – JPS da ABES-SP, ministrou a palestra “Água e Natureza: oportunidades de emprego no setor para jovens”, um tema de grande demanda por parte de jovens profissionais, estudantes e recém-formados.

Thomas: dicas para os jovens ingressarem no mercado de trabalho

Thomas ressaltou a necessidade de os profissionais já colocados no mercado atraírem o público jovem e adaptarem-se às diferentes gerações. Instruir e delegar atividades também são ações essenciais, pontuou.

E para quem deseja se inserir no setor, recomendou: “Os jovens devem criar um networking e atender aos conhecimentos exigidos: softwares, legislação, matemática, vistorias e comunicação e elaboração de textos.”

Thomas discorreu ainda sobre as vantagens e dificuldades de intercâmbio e outros temas como a busca por estágios, elaboração de pesquisas acadêmicas e participação em congressos, feiras, associações e grupos jovens, além da atuação em trabalho voluntário (JPS, Engenheiros sem Fronteiras Brasil e Engajamundo, entre outros).

Os jovens, como frisou Thomas, devem ter novos horizontes e aproveitar as oportunidades do mercado, em suas várias áreas: abastecimento, controle de perdas, captação de água de chuva, uso compartilhado de água, esgotamento, tecnologia de reúso, alta tecnologia de tratamento, reuso de lodo, tecnologia verde, desenhos 3d, concepção de projetos e monitoramento, irrigação (gotejamento), drenagem (infraestrutura verde/azul) e outros temas como educação ambiental, licenciamento ambiental e regulação de serviços. “São múltiplas possibilidades. É necessário encontrar caminhos para ter crescimento e experiência profissional sólida”, finalizou o geógrafo.
