ABES-RS realiza debate sobre os desafios da relação economia e ambiente

A ABES Seção Rio Grande do Sul (ABES-RS) promoveu, nesta terça-feira, dia 12 de julho, o primeiro encontro do “Ciclo de Debates 2016 – Repensando o desenvolvimento sustentável”. O tema foi “Os desafios da relação economia e ambiente.”

O evento, promovido no auditório da Fundação Getúlio Vargas, recebeu como palestrantes Gustavo Inácio de Moraes, professor adjunto do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Economia, Doutor em Economia Aplicada, Mestre em Desenvolvimento Econômico e Bacharel em Ciências Econômicas; e Rejane Vargas Dorneles, engenheira química, formada pela UFRGS, especialista em Geoprocessamento de Dados e MBA em Perícia. A moderação foi de Carmynie Barros e Xavier, tecnóloga em Gestão Ambiental, graduanda em Direito pela PUCRS e integrante da Coordenação do Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES/RS.

Os palestrantes apresentaram durante o debate dados e reflexões sobre valoração de bens ambientais, economia e contabilidade. Um dos principais pontos abordados foi a necessidade de repensar as formas de gestão ambiental aplicadas no modelo atual, identificando, preservando e contabilizando os efeitos econômicos da preservação e conservação ambiental ou da degradação decorrente da falta de cuidado.
