Nesta segunda-feira, 17 de abril, foi a vez de Boa Vista, em Roraima, receber o ciclo de Debates “Desafios do Saneamento Ambiental no Brasil”. Sucesso de participação, com mais de 60 pessoas e nomes importantes do saneamento e do meio ambiente da região, o evento foi promovido pela Diretoria Nacional da ABES no Auditório da Companhia de Água e Esgotos de Roraima – CAERR.
Além da presença do presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza, que palestrou acerca de temas como os 10 anos da Lei de Saneamento e o saneamento na Região Norte e em Roraima, a mesa de debates contou, ainda, com a participação do diretor da ABES, Sérgio Gonçalves; Rogério Campos, presidente da Fundação Estadual de Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos; Zequias de Oliveira, promotor de Justiça do Meio Ambiente; e Danque Esbell, presidente da CAERR. O público presente assistiu também – e fez suas indagações – no debate sobre saneamento público ou privado.
“Mais um evento realizado com sucesso, com a participação de mais de 60 pessoas de diversas áreas: de universidades, da área da saúde, empresas de saneamento”, ressaltou Roberval Tavares de Souza. Segundo ele, mais uma vez, foi um debate bastante produtivo sobre o tema público e privado, “que está tomando um formato muito interessante sobre o que importa é ser eficiente, independentemente se é público ou privado. E que o governo federal deve olhar com outros olhos a questão das privatizações, que não estão tendo aderência em todo o país”, afirmou o presidente nacional da ABES.
Em relação aos dados apresentados pela ABES, o presidente da CAERR, Danque Esbell, afirmou que “os avanços registrados mostram o compromisso da governadora Suely Campos e indicam que as políticas públicas adotadas estão no caminho certo. Tudo isso é reflexo de medidas prioritárias e feitas de forma planejada, estratégica e correta”.
O diretor nacional da ABES, Sergio Gonçalves, também destacou a importância do evento. “Tivemos um encontro de prestigio, com importantes presenças da área de meio ambiente do estado. Foi um grande evento, com cobertura de imprensa e bastante participação não só dos servidores da CAERR, mas também externos, que vieram, participaram e fizeram boas perguntas”, frisou. “A nossa ideia é que eles possam realmente se engajar, no sentido de participar mais ativamente dentro da ABES e que possamos ter a presença da associação nos colegiados e no debate do saneamento no estado”.
Para Amilton Feitosa, engenheiro da Funasa, “foi um excelente evento, tanto as exposições dos palestrantes como dos participantes”.
ABES Roraima
O ex-presidente da ABES Seção Roraima – que no momento encontra em processo de reativação -, Alexandre Henklain, também prestigiou o encontro. “O evento foi coroado de êxito com uma participação muito expressiva de profissionais de diversas instituições públicas e privadas, além de profissionais autônomos”, enfatizou ele. “Fizeram indagações bastante qualificadas sobre o saneamento ambiental, demonstrando a relevância da reativação da nossa ABES-RR. Temos a convicção de que esta iniciativa da Diretoria Nacional da ABES foi muito importante para reacender a chama e para que possamos ter brevemente a nossa seção reativada, contribuindo com a discussão sobre saneamento para Roraima e para o país”, afirmou.
Segundo Alexandre Henklain, a expectativa é que até o mês de junho deste ano seja formado pelo menos um núcleo institucionalizado para dar início à reativação da seção. “Vamos trabalhar aqui com esse objetivo e com o apoio da CAERR e da Funasa para que no mais curto espaço de tempo Roraima possa ter de volta seu espaço no cenário da ABES”, finalizou.
