Conselheiro da ABES-SP coordena painel sobre água e saneamento em favelas e os ODS relacionados à Água

Nesta quarta, 21 de março, Alceu Guérios Bittencourt, conselheiro da ABES-SP e um dos oito especialistas mundiais que compõem o Comitê Temático do 8º Fórum  Mundial da Água, coordenou e moderou o painel “Alcançando os não atendidos – fornecimento de água e saneamento em favelas e os ODS relacionados à Água”. Este foi o único painel do evento que abordou o saneamento em favelas. A mesa contou com palestras de de Maria Sotomayor, Elisabete França, Thomas Panella, Yolanda Lucas e Gustavo Heredia. O debate aconteceu no Centro de Convenções Ulysses Guimarães.

 

CT Reúso e Dessalinização 

Nesta quarta, 21 de março, o coordenador da Câmara Temática de Dessalinização e Reúso da ABES, Renato Giani Ramos, coordenou o painel “Tecnologias de reúso: podemos lidar com inovações?”. O evento foi realizado no Centro de Convenções Ulysses Guimarães.

“O painel foi muito concorrido e contou com expoentes internacionais sobre o tema de reúso. Eles dividiram experiências de países como Japão, Estados Unidos, Dinamarca e Portugal”, ressaltou Renato Ramos. “Por meio do Ministério das Cidades, comentou-se sobre o Plano Nacional para Política de Reúso” completou.

O importante desse painel, de acordo com Renato, foi que ele conseguiu concluir que a tecnologia não é a fronteira que limita aplicação de reúso. “Se tiver uma regulamentação de menor complexidade, seguindo o que já foi feito nas diretrizes internacionais, isso pode desencadear de maneira favorável o reúso na indústria. O aumento na coleta de esgoto também favorece a agricultura que vê com bons olhos a aplicação de reúso”, explicou ele. Para Renato, tudo isso em conjunto consegue liderar mais demanda de água para a população e gerenciar melhor a matriz hídrica. “A ABES teve uma participação ativa sobre a sessão de reúso e tecnologi. Foi um sucesso no Fórum Mundial da Água”, comemora.

 

Transformando limões em limonada:

O diretor da ABES-SP, Nivaldo Rodrigues da Costa, participou na quarta, 21 de março, do debate “Transformando limões em limonada: como a tecnologia está alterando a gestão de resíduos em oportunidades!”

“O Fórum teve um nível muito bom. É muito importante nos atualizarmos e principalmente nos situarmos no mundo do Saneamento. Achei interessante o painel do qual participei, pois tinha como temática a aplicação de soluções sustentáveis para as Estações de Tratamento de Esgoto. Foi muito importante vermos que estamos no caminho certo, adotando no Brasil alternativas inovadoras, ambientalmente adequadas e financeiramente viáveis”, ressalta Nivaldo.
