Em Porto Alegre, ABES-RS discute eficiência energética no VI Diálogos do Saneamento

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção Rio Grande do Sul (ABES-RS) promoveu, no dia 5 de dezembro, em Porto Alegre/RS, a VI edição do Diálogos do Saneamento. O tema deste ano foi “Eficiência Energética no Saneamento. O encontro ocorreu no Auditório BRDE, na capital rio-grandense.

Considerando que as despesas com energia elétrica dos sistemas de água e esgoto apresentam valores históricos crescentes – em 2015 atingiram R$ 5,1 bilhões tendo sido consumidos 12,1 TWh (SNIS) – a eficiência na gestão de energia é hoje questão estratégica para a sustentabilidade econômica dos prestadores de serviço de água e esgoto.

Estas ações permitem um melhor aproveitamento das infraestruturas existentes postergando a aplicação de recursos, por parte do setor elétrico, na ampliação de sistemas de geração e transmissão.

Outro objetivo do evento foi conhecer e incentivar ao setor do saneamento a participar em chamadas públicas do PEE e apresentar tecnologias existentes no mercado brasileiro que permitem tomar medidas de eficiência energética no planejamento das infraestruturas e procedimentos operacionais.
