Promovido pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES, a edição 2021 do mais importante evento de saneamento ambiental do Brasil tem como tema central tema “Cidades Inteligentes conectadas com o saneamento e o meio ambiente: desafio dos novos tempos”.
 
Com o tema “Cidades Inteligentes conectadas com o saneamento e o meio ambiente: desafio dos novos tempos”, o 31º Congresso Brasileiro de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental, o Congresso da ABES, será realizado de 17 a 20 de outubro, em formato híbrido: de forma presencial, em Curitiba, no Paraná, e também online, em plataforma digital exclusiva e interativa. A realização é da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES. Na edição 2021, os participantes pagam o mesmo valor para as duas modalidades de inscrição: presencial ou online.

O congresso discutirá o desafio de como tornar as cidades e comunidades inteligentes, conectadas, resilientes e sustentáveis, considerando os pilares do saneamento básico como a base para atingir os Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) da Agenda 2030 da Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU).
 
Realizado a cada dois anos, o Congresso da ABES é o maior e mais qualificado e expressivo evento do setor no país, reunindo especialistas nacionais e internacionais, gestores públicos, profissionais do setor, acadêmicos, estudantes, prestadores de serviços públicos e privados e fornecedores de equipamentos, entre outros.
 
O evento acontecerá simultaneamente à Fitabes – Feira Internacional de Tecnologias de Saneamento Ambiental, que apresentará as mais recentes inovações tecnológicas do setor de saneamento inseridas no contexto das cidades inteligentes.
