Se o cenário nacional de saneamento ainda precisa avançar, a troca de conhecimentos entre profissionais de todo o Brasil pode ajudar a mudar essa realidade. Esse foi o tom da abertura do 5º Seminário Nacional de Gestão de Perdas de Água e Eficiência Energética, nesta terça-feira, 14 de agosto, em Florianópolis. O encontro é promovido pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária E Ambiental – ABES até esta quarta, dia 15. Acesse aqui o álbum de fotos.
A engenheira Fernanda Felix, presidente da ABES-SC, abriu o evento fazendo um chamado para que mais profissionais se engajem no propósito de melhorar os indicadores do país.
A abertura teve a presença do engenheiro Ricardo Rover Machado (Corsan e coordenador da Câmara Temática Nacional da ABES de Gestão de Perdas e Eficiência Energética); de Ademir Isidoro, da seção regional dos Assemae (Associação Nacional dos Serviços Municipais de Saneamento); Sérgio Bahls, da ABES-PR, representando a Presidência Nacional da ABES; E o engenheiro Ari Neumann, presidente do CREA-SC; além de Bruno Kossatz, gerente de Políticas Operacionais da Catarinense de Águas e Saneamento (CASAN).
“A continuidade da ABES como promotora da melhoria do saneamento no Brasil está conectada à participação de todos”, reforçou Sergio Bahls.
Para Bruno Kosstaz, representante da CASAN, que ministrou a Palestra Magna do seminário, o desafio é nacional e é preciso subir um degrau a cada dia.

Palestra magna: as ações para gestão de perdas de água da Casan
O engenheiro Bruno Kossatz, gerente de Políticas Operacionais da CASAN, fez a palestra de abertura do Seminário e apontou os três fatores que podem interferir no controle de perdas de água: políticos, econômicos e sociais. Mostrou o equívoco de confundir o termo técnico perda de água (que envolve não faturamento e perdas físicas) com desperdício e enumerou, ainda, oito das principais ações da Companhia Catarinense no controle do tema:
1) Investimento de R$ 4,5 milhões na automação e telemetria das Estações de Recalque de Água Tratada (ERATs), booster e reservatórios.
2) Investimento de R$ 2 milhões na setorização de mais de 100 pontos com macromedidores.
3) Controle e monitoramento das vazões mínimas noturnas.
4) Transformação de dados em imagens usando o sistema de BI (Business Intelligence).
5) Substituição de redes antigas (mais de 75 mil metros apenas no período 2014-2016).
6) Recadastramento comercial que atingiu 95% das 777 mil ligações de água do Estado.
7) Investimento de R$ 250 mil na aquisição de mais três equipamentos geofone para detecção de vazamentos ocultos.
8) Criação de uma comissão específica de Gestão de Perdas para dar mais solenidade ao assunto internamente e aumentar o foco sobre o problema.
“A CASAN criou um setor de gerenciamento de perdas que será um divisor de águas, afinal teremos pessoas trabalhando e pensando exclusivamente sobre isso”, anunciou.
Kossatz também abordou a questão da eficiência energética, tema do seminário, ao lembrar que apenas no ano passado a Companhia catarinense gastou R$ 101 milhões com esta rubrica no Estado. “É imprescindível reduzir estes custos”, comentou.
Para tanto, a CASAN está concluindo a licitação para automatizar 16 de suas Estações de Tratamento de Água (ETAs). “O investimento inicial é alto, orçado inicialmente na casa de R$ 12 milhões, mas um custo que se paga nos primeiros anos. Vamos fazer este piloto com 16 unidades e avaliar seus resultados com a intenção de estender o processo para todo o Estado”, concluiu.
