ABES-RS discute Plano de saneamento e estratégias para universalização no estado

A ABES Seção Rio Grande do Sul (ABES-RS) promoveu, nesta terça, 6 de junho, em Porto Alegre, mais uma edição da Reunião-Almoço com o tema Saneamento em Foco. O evento contou com palestra do presidente da Companhia de Saneamento do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul – Corsan, Flávio Ferreira Presser sobre o “Plano de Saneamento e Estratégias para a Universalização”.

Participaram do encontro: Luciane de Freitas, diretora do DMAE; Mauricio Fernandes, secretário municipal do Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade; Roberto Kraid, diretor adjunto do DMLU; Alcebíades Adil antini, presidente da Agergs, Gilberto Agostinho Azevedo da Silva, secretário do Meio Ambiente de Eldorado; Pedro dall Acqua, secretário executivo do Conesam; Silvio Paulo Klein diretor geral da Comusa; Wolney Moreira da Costa presidente do Sinaenco; Rogério Santiago, presidente da Astecora; e Nanci Begnini Giugno representante do Senge-RS, entre outros.

Na ocasião, Flávio Presser apresentou os dados de cobertura de serviços de água e esgoto no Rio Grande do Sul e os investimentos necessários para atingir as metas do Plano Nacional de Saneamento Básico – PLANSAB. Partindo da avaliação da dificuldade no atingimento destas metas, Presser sugere avanços progressivos na coleta e tratamento de esgotos domésticos e investimentos em melhorias na qualidade dos sistemas de abastecimento de água, especialmente em redução de perdas e aumento da eficiência energética.

Segundo ele, as formas de contratação e o modelo tarifário também precisam ser revistos no sentido de estimular a busca de melhores resultados. Finalmente, apresentou um modelo de parceria com a iniciativa privada como forma de complementar os investimentos públicos e alcançar as metas.
