Congresso ABES Fenasan 2017: perdas de água e eficiência energética no centro das discussões

Um dos temas mais relevantes do setor de saneamento no Brasil, a gestão de perdas terá um painel no dia 4 de outubro, segundo dia de discussões técnicas do Congresso ABES-Fenasan 2017, a ser realizado de 2 a 6 de outubro no São Paulo Expo pela ABES– Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental e pela AESabesp – Associação dos Engenheiros da Sabesp (programação técnica dias 3, 4 e 5 de outubro; solenidade de abertura no dia 2 e visitas técnicas em 6/10).

O painel “A gestão de perdas como fator de sustentabilidade e eficiência operacional”, programado para o dia 4, às 14h, buscará reunir conhecimentos e práticas de reconhecidos profissionais, ilustrando com técnicas de gestão e experiências de sucesso em empresas de saneamento.

A retomada do desenvolvimento no Brasil impõe à sociedade um grande conjunto de desafios. Talvez o mais substancial seja garantir elementos fundamentais como saúde pública e saneamento básico para todos, administrando com austeridade os escassos recursos, naturais e financeiros, disponíveis. Neste cenário, a Gestão de Perdas tem papel protagonista, à medida que lideranças sensibilizadas e mobilizadas passam a empregar tecnologias aliadas a conhecimentos técnicos e administrativos, possibilitando a postergação de obras de infraestrutura, aumento de faturamento, redução de custos e o melhor aproveitamento dos ativos existentes.

“A conjugação de fatores importantes como a falta de capital para investimento, as necessidades crescentes da população e as possibilidades de escassez hídrica têm impulsionado de maneira considerável a busca pelo desenvolvimento da gestão de perdas de água e eficiência energética. Cada vez mais vemos a aplicação de recursos em tecnologia, conhecimento e controle da operação, com expressivos resultados na redução de custos, melhoria na qualidade do abastecimento e preservação de recursos naturais”, ressalta Ricardo Röver machado, coordenador da Câmara Temática de Gestão de Perdas e Eficiência Energética da ABES.

No dia 5, às 10h, o Congresso terá em sua programação o painel “Eficiência energética no saneamento”.

As despesas com energia elétrica dos prestadores de serviços de água e esgoto atingiram R$ 5,1 bilhões em 2015, tendo sido consumidos 12,1 TWh (SNIS). Na análise dos dados históricos, percebe-se que os gastos com energia elétrica são crescentes, com fortes impactos na saúde financeira dos prestadores de serviço e consequentes reflexos no custo dos serviços ofertados à população. O uso racional de energia, é estratégico para a sustentabilidade econômica dos prestadores de serviço de água e permite ao setor elétrico um melhor aproveitamento das infraestruturas existentes postergando a aplicação de recursos na ampliação de sistemas de geração e transmissão de energia. São necessários esforços conjuntos do setor do saneamento e do sector elétrico para operar com maior eficiência.

Esta sessão tem como objetivos:

  • Aproximação do setor elétrico do sector de saneamento;
  • Sensibilização para os custos de energia crescentes e os potenciais de economia existentes;
  • Incentivo ao setor do saneamento a participar em chamadas públicas do PEE;
  • Incentivo prestadores de serviço a considerarem critérios de eficiência energética no planejamento das infraestruturas;
  • Incentivo prestadores de serviço a tomarem medidas de eficiência energética operacionais;
  • Inspirar municípios a tomar medidas de eficiência energética.
