A nova geração do saneamento vem mostrando sua força e engajamento por meio do Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES (JPS), que vem ampliando cada vez mais sua atuação. Com um público de 300 participantes, o Núcleo Santos do Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES-SP (JPS-SP), que é coordenado por Kayane Fernandes Franco e Paula Pinheiro de Azevedo Ramos, realizou nesta quarta-feira, 14 de março, na Unifesp (Universidade Federal de são Paulo), em Santos, litoral paulista, o Simpósio de Riscos Ambientais.
O foco do evento foram os riscos aos quais a Baixada Santista está exposta, tanto na área portuária quanto no polo industrial de Cubatão, como incêndios, contaminações de forma geral e vazamento de produto químico, entre outros.
O encontro reuniu três palestrantes: Sérgio Greif (CETESB), Luís Paulo Ascoli Barletta (ALBRIGGS) e Evandro Lourenço (CODESP E PAM).
As integrantes do JPS abriram o Simpósio apresentando e citando as atividades do programa. O coordenador geral do JPS-SP, o geógrafo Thomas Ficarelli, saudou o público presente.
Sob o tema “Atuação da Cetesb no atendimento a emergências ambientais na área portuária”, o biólogo Sérgio Greif iniciou o Simpósio. O palestrante apresentou a Cetesb, discorreu sobre acidentes por atividades, classes de risco conforme a ONU, acionamento do sistema de atendimento à emergência química, nível de resposta a incidentes por óleo no Brasil, PAM da Baixada Santista e outros atores, exemplos de acidentes (incêndios), detecção de cloro, verificação de reação exotérmica, ações e procedimentos, comissões, subcomissoes e grupos de trabalho.
Já Luís Paulo Ascoli Barletta, da AlBriggs, ministrou a palestra “Procedimento de respostas às emergências ambientais”. Apresentou casos de poluição de água/incêndios e como foram solucionados. O palestrante falou sobre ainda sobre materiais que podem auxiliar em casos de incêndio.
Evandro Lourenço ministrou a última palestra da noite: “Papel do PAM antes, durante e depois dos sinistros”. O especialista apresentou um vídeo institucional do Porto de Santos, explicando sobre seu funcionamento, normas, áreas, unidades, rotinas e atividades. Abordou o PAM da Baixada Santista (Plano de Ajuda Mútua) em casos de incêndios e emergências.
Os palestrantes elogiaram a iniciativa do JPS. “O evento foi muito importante, pois foi realizado em uma universidade, o público é grande e pode abrir portas para os estudantes que não tiveram contato com a matéria. A organização trouxe diferentes atores que estão envolvidos em emergências químicas na área portuária e nas indústrias da Baixada Santista. Traz uma boa bagagem para os estudantes ou pessoas que estão entrando no mercado de trabalho”, afirma Sérgio Greif.
Na opinião de Luís Paulo Ascoli Barletta, o encontro foi muito importante para o aluno dos cursos de meio ambiente ou que estão relacionados ao tema, pois puderam ver os casos que já aconteceram no Porto para ter um exemplo real e o aprendizado na prática. “Quando estudei senti falta disso, pois você tem o conhecimento na teoria e não tem alguém para trazer um caso real para assimilar o que é estudado. O JPS-SP Núcleo Santos teve uma ótima ideia ao organizar o Simpósio e me coloco a disposição para ministrar palestras nos futuros eventos”, afirma.
“Um dos motivos de estar aqui é fazer a divulgação das atividades do PAM do Porto de Santos. Como é feito o atendimento à emergência no Porto em casos de vazamento e incêndio. É muito bacana o JPS organizar esse tipo de evento que oferece uma troca e compartilhamento de informações trazendo conhecimento para os estudantes”, frisou ao final Evandro Lourenço para a reportagem do Portal ABES-SP.
As coordenadoras do Núcleo Santos do JPS-SP comentaram a iniciativa.
“Tivemos um retorno muito positivo, as pessoas elogiaram tanto a organização quanto a iniciativa do evento. Foi bacana trazer um tema tão presente na realidade aqui da Baixada Santista, ter um público diversificado, desde estudantes a profissionais da área e público em geral. Considero uma grande oportunidade de apresentar o JPS para os diversos públicos, já tivemos inclusive o retorno de pessoas interessadas em participar e o convite para estarmos na reunião do PAM, onde há diversos integrantes de empresas aos quais podemos nos apresentar. Parabenizo a todos da organização pelo sucesso do evento que contribuiu para o aprendizado e o desenvolvimento do público. Contamos também o apoio da SEMAM Guarujá, Fundacentro e o pessoal da Incubadora Ambiental da Unifesp, que nos cedeu o auditório”, afirmou Kayane.
Para Paula, o trabalho conjunto e o apoio da ABES e parceiros contribuiu para o sucesso. “O número de participantes superou as nossas expectativas, os palestrantes foram bem, tivemos apoio da ABES. Posso falar pelas outras integrantes, como a Kayane, a Liliane e a Monique, que ajudaram na organização. Pretendemos fazer novos eventos, estamos colhendo os frutos com novos jovens se inscrevendo no Núcleo Santos do JPS-SP e profissionais da área perguntando sobre os próximos encontros e dando sugestões.
