No Mês da Mulher, Alba Maria La Rosa, membro da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES Seção Rio Grande do Sul, foi umas das cinco mulheres porto-alegrenses homenageadas nesta semana (de 22 a 25 de março) pelo Instituto Lixo Zero Brasil (ILZB) por meio do evento “Atitude Cidadã”.
O objetivo da iniciativa foi reconhecer pessoas que se dedicam ao meio ambiente e à sustentabilidade. Alba Maria La Rosa atuou por 10 anos na gestão dos resíduos do Acampamento Farroupilha, realizado na capital gaúcha.
A homenageada trabalhou como enfermeira no Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, onde se destacou como pioneira na preocupação com a destinação dos resíduos hospitalares e teve como tutor José Lutzenberger.
Em Porto Alegre, o foco da iniciativa foi o protagonismo feminino, homenageando mulheres agentes de mudança e de transformação. As homenagens foram realizadas por meio de conteúdos digitais postados no Instagram @lixozeropoa, abordando as histórias destas mulheres, o trabalho que desenvolvem e como contribuem ativamente para a sociedade.
