Conferência da ONU COP22 debate como implementar Acordo de Paris

Começou nesta segunda-feira, 7 de novembro, em Marrakech, no Marrocos, a Conferência sobre o Clima, COP22, onde líderes mundiais debatem como implementar as determinações do Acordo de Paris.

O documento, que entrou em vigor na última sexta-feira (saiba mais aqui), tem como objetivo limitar o aumento da temperatura global abaixo de 2ºC, tendo como base os índices pré-industriais, e buscar ainda manter esse nível em 1.5ºC.

US$ 100 bilhões

A conferência vai até 18 de novembro, quando os Estados-membros devem definir as regras para a aplicação do acordo e anunciar um plano para arrecadar pelo menos US$ 100 bilhões por ano.

Esse dinheiro vai ser usado para ajudar os países em desenvolvimento na adoção de projetos e ações para combater a mudança climática.

A COP22 vai realizar várias reuniões e eventos de alto nível, incluindo um segmento que vai envolver dezenas de chefes de Estado e de Governo, na semana que vem.

O presidente da conferência, Salaheddine Mezouar, ministro das Relações Exteriores do Marrocos, disse que a COP22 “vai criar uma ponte entre a visão de um futuro melhor e a implementação de projetos climáticos concretos e responsáveis”.
