Com participação expressiva de público feminino, JPS-SP debate meio ambiente e carreira no setor público

Nesta terça-feira, 14 de fevereiro, o programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES Seção São Paulo (JPS-SP/ABES-SP), coordenado por Thomas Ficarelli, promoveu na sede da entidade mais uma importante atividade, com foco em saneamento, meio ambiente e o mercado de trabalho na esfera pública.

O encontro, cuja plateia foi formada em sua grande maioria por mulheres, contou com as presenças de três convidados, que relataram suas experiências: Thalita Aparecida Rissi, da Sabesp; Cristiano von Steinkirch de Oliveira (SEMAE – Mogi das Cruzes) e Gleice da Conceição Salles de Oliveira (Cetesb).

Thomas Ficarelli abriu as apresentações ressaltando que um dos objetivos do workshop é desenvolver nos participantes “tanto a visão técnica como a individual no mundo profissional”. Segundo ele, há diferentes formas de se desenvolver e direcionar a carreira no setor de saneamento e meio ambiente: no meio acadêmico, empreendedorismo, nos âmbitos público ou privado e em oportunidades em outras cidades ou no exterior, entre outras. Além disso, completou, o debate visa a quebrar estereótipos e construir opiniões baseadas em experiências reais de outros jovens,

Os jovens palestrantes contaram suas vivências como funcionários públicos.

Assim como o coordenador do JPS-SP, a tecnóloga em controle ambiental e saneamento básico, Thalita Aparecida Rissi, que levou sua experiência na SABESP, também ressaltou que o “saneamento é uma área diversa”. Entre os pontos destacados, ela mencionou o projeto Tietê, que visa a implementar sistemas de coleta e afastamento de esgoto para limpar diversos córregos que deságuam no rio. ”Este é um grande desafio”, pontou.

Já Cristiano von Steinkirch de Oliveira, da SEMAE – Mogi das Cruzes, chamou a atenção do público para dificuldades, riscos e oportunidades, além das perspectivas no âmbito do setor público. Um dos desafios, segundo ele, é passar em um concurso público. “Foram muitas tentativas”, disse sobre sua própria trajetória.

A arquiteta e urbanista Gleice da Conceição Salles de Oliveira, que atua com licenciamento e avaliação de impacto ambiental na Cetesb, lembrou que nesse ramo se aprende sempre, com os acadêmicos e na prática do dia a dia. E reforçou que por ser um campo diverso é possível encontrar biólogos, geógrafos, físicos e engenheiros mecânicos, por exemplo. “Vamos trocando experiências”, salientou.

Esta é a segunda vez que o JPS-SP aborda o mercado de trabalho no meio ambiente e saneamento. No ano passado o tema foi empreendedorismo (veja aqui).

Público participativo

A palestrante Thalita Aparecida Rissi achou interessante a participação do público, que apresentou diversas perguntas e comentários para os convidados. “Gostei muito, as pessoas estavam bastante interessadas na área ambiental, no saneamento, que é muito importante para toda a população”, disse. “Acredito que foi um evento proveitoso porque trouxe a Sabesp, a SEMAE e a Cetesb. Tivemos uma visão global da questão ambiental e do saneamento.”

Cristiano von Steinkirch agradeceu a oportunidade de ministrar uma palestra sobre o tema. “É sempre um prazer falar da nossa experiência profissional”, afirmou. “É difícil vermos palestras na área do setor público, é preciso ser amigo de alguém para poder se inteirar um pouco mais do que está acontecendo numa carreira pública, dos concursos”, explicou. “Abrir uma palestra como essa do JPS dentro da ABES é muito bom tanto para nós, que compartilhamos nossas experiências, como para o público, que sempre está interessadíssimo”, ressaltou o engenheiro.

“Achei a iniciativa muito interessante porque para quem está se formando ou é recém-formado é sempre muito bom ter esse tipo de informação, ver um profissional falando”, frisou Gleice da Conceição Salles. “Às vezes não temos noção da realidade profissional que se apresenta no mercado de trabalho, seja o público seja privado”, completou. “Agradeço a oportunidade. Sobre a ampla participação feminina na plateia, lembrou que o setor público é uma área se acredita ser dominantemente masculina, “mas as mulheres estão bastante interessadas”.

Para o coordenador do JPS-SP, Thomas Ficarelli, a atividade foi bastante esclarecedora para os jovens. “Como escolhemos três representantes de três empresas diferentes – Sabesp, SEMAE e Cetesb, foi possível ver como o serviço é organizado. E não é só a diferença entre essas empresas, mas as diferenças entre os próprios indivíduos, não só na parte profissional – por formações diferentes-, mas também pela própria trajetória que cada um seguiu nessa área”, explicou.

Foi interessante, de acordo com ele, os palestrantes falarem do processo do concurso público, que é fundamental para quem quer ingressar nessa área, no caso dos não comissionados – que são a grande maioria.

Outo aspecto que também chamou atenção de Thomas foi a ampla presença feminina no evento. “Fiquei bastante contente com essa participação expressiva delas, pelo fato de ver que o saneamento e o meio ambiente são áreas do conhecimento cada vez mais misturadas nessa questão de gênero. As possibilidades estão abertas também para as mulheres”, destacou o geógrafo. “No JPS trabalhamos muito a questão da diversidade em todos os sentidos. É bom ver essa diversidade acontecendo com bastante harmonia”, complementou.

 Visão ampla sobre Setor Público 

Os participantes saíram do evento com um olhar mais aprofundad0 do que é o setor público.

Gabriela Gomes de Carvalho, 19, que está no quinto semestre do curso de Engenharia Ambiental e Sanitária, afirmou que foi importante ver como funciona em cada uma das empresas apresentadas. “Foi bom ver como eles aprendem com o trabalho cotidiano, como é a evolução deles a cada dia, que o setor não é algo estagnado. Entendi que aos poucos eles vão aumentando o seu corpo intelectual e que o setor público é algo muito diferente do que a população acha. O evento foi ótimo”, completou a estudante, que trabalha na Secretaria Municipal do Verde e Meio Ambiente, na área de fiscalização ambiental.

Cintia Rodrigues, 31, é analista de laboratório e membro do JPS. Contou que saiu da palestra com bastante aproveitamento e por isso as oportunidades sempre são bem-vindas. “A chance de estar no meio das pessoas com mais experiência, que já estão no mercado e que já viveram situações que passaremos adiante agrega muito porque estamos em um mundo isolado, achamos que é só aquilo, não vemos de uma forma prática no dia a dia os problemas enfrentados. Essa oportunidade é muito boa. Esse é o caminho. Se envolver com pessoas que têm o mesmo interesse que você, que estão interessadas na área de saneamento”, disse.

Para o biólogo Renê Gonçalves de Lima, integrante do JPS, o evento foi interessante. “Trouxe diferentes perspectivas tanto de profissionais do setor público, que são estatutários, quanto celetistas”, disse. “Deixou bem claro para os jovens profissionais que estão saindo das universidades o potencial que essa área tem para abrigar essa mão de obra capacitada, desenvolver bons projetos e contribuir para a área do saneamento ambiental”, enfatizou.

A engenheira ambiental Priscila Lima, 26, disse que o evento foi “bacana”, principalmente porque a visão de quem está de fora do setor público é diferente. “As pessoas acham que ninguém trabalha, mas todo mundo trabalha muito e realmente tem bastante demanda. E eu quero conseguir um cargo público. Foi muito legal o que eles [os palestrantes] passaram”, revelou.

José Roberto, 28, recém-formado em Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental mas que ainda não atua na área, revelou que tem interesse em prestar concurso público. “Para mim, a palestra foi muito proveitosa para tirar dúvidas de como funciona o setor público, o trabalho, como entrar, os desafios. Foi uma boa oportunidade”.
