ABES Conecta: webinar fala sobre combustíveis derivados de resíduos

Este foi o segundo encontro online da série “Debates Energéticos” promovida pela Câmara Temática da ABES de Resíduos Sólidos.

Nesta sexta-feira, 28 de agosto, a Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental- ABES, por meio de sua Câmara Temática de Resíduos Sólidos, promoveu o segundo webinar da série “Debates Energéticos”. O evento online abordou o tema “Combustíveis Derivados de Resíduos (CDR)” e reuniu diversos especialistas para discussão.

A moderação foi feita por Adjane Damasceno de Oliveira, engenheira ambiental e coordenadora do GT de Recuperação Energética de Resíduos Sólidos da ABES. O debate teve como palestrantes Pedro Luis Parigot, economista, desenvolvedor de negócios e empresário, Eduardo Bastos da Porciuncula, gerente geral da Verdara (Votorantim Cimentos), e Fatima Abreu, engenheira sanitarista e membro da Câmara Temática da ABES de Resíduos Sólidos. Também participou como debatedor Henrique Vasquez Féteira do Vale, Gerente de Química, Metalurgia, Materiais e Saneamento da FINEP.

Pedro Luis Parigot destacou que uma série de questões envolvem os resíduos sólidos, entre elas, legislação, logística reversa, poder público e marco regulatório. O especialista apresentou o case do Ecoparque Pernambuco, que é uma das primeiras unidades para tratamento de resíduos sólidos urbanos e produção de combustíveis derivados de resíduos.

Na sequência, Eduardo Bastos da Porciuncula, apresentou dados sobre o cenário dos resíduos sólidos no Brasil. Segundo ele, o país tem uma geração anual de 78 milhões de toneladas de resíduos sólidos urbanos, 41% dos resíduos coletados são destinados adequadamente e apenas 3% são reciclados.

Fátima de Abreu afirmou que os resíduos devem ser trabalhados e as políticas públicas obedecidas para a implantação dos projetos. A engenheira ainda discorreu sobre tipos de resíduos, cooperativas catadores, entre outros tópicos.
