ABES consolida-se como protagonista nas discussões sobre a crise hídrica

“Com a realização deste 28º Congresso Brasileiro de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental, a ABES passa a ser uma entidade protagonista na busca das soluções para a crise hídrica do país e na construção de um projeto de saneamento para o Brasil. Saímos do Congresso fortalecidos, quer pela diversidade dos temas e das propostas diversas apresentadas; quer pelos diálogos e as expectativas de parcerias com os setor privado, público, incluindo aí os municípios, Estados, o governo federal e o Ministério Público.”

O balanço é do presidente nacional da ABES, Dante Ragazzi Pauli, foi feito após o painel “Parcerias para alavancar o setor ambiental no Brasil”, que teve a participação do presidente da “Trata Brasil”, Edson Carlos; do presidente da ABRAMPA, o promotor público Luis Fernando Barreto Júnior; e do procurador de Justiça, Pedro Elias Erthal Sanglard, representando o Ministério Público do Rio de Janeiro. Todos apresentaram caminhos e propostas para parcerias futuras na área jurídica, uma das recomendações dos debates do Congresso, que discutiram a criação de um novo arranjo institucional para o setor.

O 28º Congresso da ABES foi realizado no Riocentro, na Barra da Tijuca, no Rio de Janeiro, e contou com a participação de três mil pessoas, entre dirigentes e profissionais do setor, técnicos, ambientalistas, acadêmicos e estudantes.

Durante os quatro dias do congresso foram realizadas inúmeros painéis técnicos, quatro grande diálogos setoriais envolvendo dirigentes empresariais e presidentes de empresas públicas e privadas da área de água e saneamento de todo o país; cerca de 20 palestras, resultando um total de aproximadamente cem (100) recomendações sobre os mais variados assuntos do segmento de água e saneamento ambiental.

Este conjunto de informações, opiniões e recomendações já começou a ser catalogado para ser publicado em um relatório sobre o 28o Congresso. Outros documentos também serão publicados.
Na noite de 6 de outubro, a ABES lançou, com uma festa no espaço Lajedo, em Vargem Grande, o 29o Congresso, que será realizado em 2017 em São Paulo.
