ABES-DF premia escolas vencedoras de concurso sobre saneamento

O presidente da ABES-DF, Marcos Helano Fernandes Montenegro (o segundo da esq. para a dir,) e representantes do Centro de Ensino Fundamental 01 do Riacho Fundo II, que venceu o concurso "Saneamento nas Escolas: Nós Fazemos!"

Na última quinta-feira, dia 8 de novembro, a Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – Seção Distrito Federal (ABES-DF), que é presidida por Marcos Helano Fernandes Montenegro, por meio da Câmara Temática de Resíduos Sólidos, que tem coordenação de Heliana Kátia Campos, premiou as dez escolas finalistas do I Concurso “Saneamento nas Escolas: Nós Fazemos”. A primeira edição da competição foi promovida em parceria com a Secretaria de Educação-DF, Adasa, Novacap, SLU, Caesb e Caixa Econômica Federal. A solenidade de premiação ocorreu no Auditório do Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia do DF- CREA, na capital federal.

df0Compuseram a mesa de abertura: Heliana Kátia Campos, que também é diretora da ABES-DF e do SLU; Júlio Gregório, secretário de Educação;  Eduardo Carvalho, superintendente de Resíduos Sólidos da ADASA; Erika Radespiel, gerente de Gestão Ambiental e Corporativa da CAESB; e Aldo Fernandes,  assessor da Presidência da NOVACAP.

Voltado para o público das escolas das redes pública e privada do Distrito Federal, o concurso teve como objetivo promover a melhoria do saneamento básico local, por meio de atividades de educação ambiental e da mobilização da comunidade escolar.

“Nada me emocionou tanto no evento de ontem, quanto ouvir mais de uma criança explicar publicamente o que ela entendia como sendo o saneamento”, frisou o presidente da ABES-DF, Marcos Helano Fernandes Montenegro. “A proposta de aprender, mudando a realidade da escola e de seu entorno foi concretizada por cada uma das equipes que adotou o lema ‘Saneamento nas escolas, nós fazemos’. “Foi uma tarde emocionante para todos os presentes e, em especial, para a equipe da ABES-DF”, concluiu.

A Escola vencedora, Centro de Ensino Fundamental 01 do Riacho Fundo II, levou o prêmio de 10 mil reais e pretende investir todo o recurso em ações de saneamento na escola. Para o professor, Adriano Galvão, a iniciativa acrescentou muito para o aprendizado de toda a escola. “Com o concurso podemos ampliar nossa rede de contatos. Ter a chance de mostrar o nosso projeto para pessoas que possam ajudar a melhorar nossa escola com política pública é muito positivo. Deveria ter mais espaço em que os professores possam mostrar com os alunos o que realizam nas escolas, principalmente com um tema tão interessante como saneamento básico e sustentabilidade”, ressaltou.

df2Na opinião do secretário de Educação, Júlio Gregório, o concurso Saneamento nas Escolas: Nós Fazemos, é uma oportunidade de gerar aprendizagem e consciência de jovens preocupados em conservar o meio ambiente. “É importante que comece na escola, aprendendo a conservar o seu micro ambiente, a sua sala de aula, observar pelo saneamento, cuidar dos bens, porque isso de fato gera uma aprendizagem significativa, incorporada, que garante o futuro de pessoas que vão cuidar do meio ambiente”, afirmou. A parceria com a ABES/DF foi fundamental porque juntos os esforços são convergidos, não somente no campo da premiação, mas de toda a logística para viabilizar o primeiro concurso de muitos que ainda virão”, complementou.
