ABES e outras entidades debatem MP do Saneamento

Nesta quinta, 31 de janeiro, as principais entidades do setor de saneamento do Brasil – Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES (representada pelo presidente Roberval Tavares de Souza), Associação Brasileira das Empresas Estaduais de Saneamento – AESBE, Associação Nacional dos Serviços Municipais de Saneamento – ASSEMAE,  Associação Brasileira de Agências de Regulação – ABAR e Associação Brasileira das Concessionárias – ABCON – reuniram-se com o deputado federal Samuel Moreira para discutir sobre a MP 868 (antiga MP 844 de 06 de julho de 2018 (leia mais aqui), que altera o marco legal do saneamento no país. No final do ano passado, as entidades reforçaram, em nota conjunta, o posicionamento contrário à reedição (leia mais aqui). O encontro aconteceu na sede da AESBE, em Brasília, no Distrito Federal.

É consenso entre ABES, AESBE, ABAR e ASSEMAE que as mudanças propostas pela MP não serão capazes de enfrentar os problemas do saneamento básico, trazendo ainda mais insegurança jurídica, com a iminente desestruturação das políticas públicas do setor.
