ABES-GO: especialista aborda caminhos para a universalização dos serviços de abastecimento de água e esgotamento sanitário

Quais são os caminhos para a universalização dos serviços de abastecimento de água e esgotamento sanitário e os desafios e as oportunidades para um futuro sustentável? Um webinar realizado pela Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção Goiás (ABES-GO), no ABES Conecta, respondeu esta pergunta na noite desta quarta-feira, 13 de setembro. O especialista convidado para aprofundar o tema foi Adauto Santos, engenheiro civil e consultor na área de saneamento básico e meio ambiente.

O evento teve apoio do Instituto Mulheres do Saneamento (Musas) e do Sindicato dos Engenheiros no Estado de Goiás – Senge-GO.

O webinar contou com a apresentação de Mário Guerino, vice-presidente nacional da ABES e membro da ABES-GO. Também estiveram presentes Juliana Matos e Doralice Barros, presidente e vice-presidente da ABES-GO, respectivamente. 

Na ocasião, Adauto Santos fez uma apresentação sobre os caminhos para a universalização dos serviços de abastecimento de água e esgotamento sanitário, apontando soluções e detalhando a legislação vigente. “Nós sabemos que para o saneamento básico, nós temos ainda drenagem e resíduos sólidos e há muitas interfaces envolvidas”, considerou.

“É uma honra fazer parte e presidir a Seção Goiás dessa instituição tão significativa. Hoje é um dia muito especial. Não só estamos reunidos neste webinar para discutir os caminhos para a universalização do saneamento, mas também estamos comemorando o Dia do Técnico Industrial e o aniversário de 56 anos da Saneago, a empresa de saneamento do estado de Goiás. Essa coincidência cria um cenário perfeito para todos nós refletirmos sobre a importância do trabalho técnico no setor de saneamento e como isso afeta diretamente a melhoria da qualidade de vida da população”, destacou Juliana Matos.

“Onde há conhecimento, as soluções são debatidas e podem ser efetivamente aplicadas. Então, esse é o nosso papel, como técnicos e cidadãos, de levar conhecimento, discutir soluções possíveis e tirar alguns vieses ideológicos e trazer a verdade e a informação de qualidade para que as pessoas possam formar opiniões que refletem de verdade as soluções que vão fazer sentido e vão ser eficientes para que a gente garanta o saneamento, que é direito de todos, independentemente da classe social”, enfatizou Doralice Barros.

Mário Guerino agradeceu e cumprimentou o palestrante por disponibilizar os dados de seu trabalho de pesquisa. “É muito importante socializar estes dados para o setor”, frisou. O vice-presidente nacional da ABES também reforçou o papel da entidade de promover e aprofundar os debates sobre os temas mais relevantes do saneamento ambiental e saúde, compartilhando conteúdo qualificado e sendo o ponto de encontro do setor.
