ABES integra em Brasília reunião da Subcomissão Permanente de Saneamento Ambiental da Câmara dos Deputados

Nesta quarta-feira, 12 de julho, o diretor nacional da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES, Álvaro José Menezes da Costa, representou a entidade na Reunião promovida, e Brasília, pela Subcomissão Permanente de Saneamento Ambiental da Câmara dos Deputados.

O encontro contou com a participação de outras entidades, três deputados federais, entre os quais João Paulo Papa (PSDB), o Secretário Nacional de Saneamento Ambiental, Olavo de Andrade Lima Neto, e o Ministro das Cidades, Bruno Araújo (que participou do final da reunião). Técnicos e diretores da SNSA também marcaram presença.

“A ABES ficou com a missão de promover, com a AESBE e a ASSEMAE, um movimento junto aos governos estaduais para que na próxima consulta pública para financiamentos, que será aberta nesta quinta, 13 de julho, seja informado que o Ministério das Cidades está apoiando a elaboração dos Planos Municipais de Saneamento por meio de apoio direto dos governos estaduais por suas companhias de saneamento”, explicou Álvaro Menezes.

Segundo ele, deverá haver outra reunião, em 45 dias, para que se avalie os reflexos da consulta em relação à contratação de planos de saneamento. “A ABES reiterou seu compromisso de atuar junto e com a Subcomissão de Saneamento da Câmara para cumprir o plano de trabalho da comissão e auxiliar tecnicamente na melhoria do saneamento”, completou o engenheiro.
