O presidente da ABES Seção Distrito Federal (ABES-DF), Marcos Helano Montenegro, foi o entrevistado do programa Ponto de Vista, da TV Câmara, na série “Desafios das Cidades”, que foi ao ar em 4 de janeiro. Na ocasião, Montenegro pontuou os principais desafios dos municípios brasileiros para realização dos serviços permanentes de saneamento básico (água, esgoto, lixo e drenagem urbana), cuja precariedade afeta toda a população.
Para o engenheiro sanitarista, que foi presidente da Companhia de Saneamento Ambiental do Distrito Federal e diretor da Secretaria Nacional de Saneamento Ambiental do Ministério das Cidades, de modo geral, o maior desafio dos municípios, neste contexto, “é planejar a universalização do atendimento a todos e de planejar de modo democrático”.
