No mês de setembro, os representantes da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES Seção Pará (ABES-PA) participaram das reuniões do Conselho Superior de Administração (CSA) da Agência Reguladora Municipal de Água e Esgoto (AMAE) e do Conselho Estadual de Recursos Hídricos (CERH).
A 1ª Reunião Ordinária do CSA da AMAE ocorreu no dia 06 deste mês e contou com a presença da representante da ABES, Vera Braz, que já foi presidente da Seção paraense da ABES e hoje é Diretora Nacional da Região Norte. Segundo Vanessa Melo, Presidente da ABES-PA, no encontro, presidido por Antônio de Noronha Tavares, Presidente-Diretor da AMAE, foram destacados dois projetos de lei (PL): um que trata da reestruturação da AMAE para ampliar suas competências e o outro que estabelece as diretrizes gerais, critérios de aplicação e penalidades ao operador dos serviços de abastecimento de água e esgotamento sanitário pelo não cumprimento dos regulamentos e termos contratuais vigentes dos serviços.
Já no dia 18 de setembro, ocorreu a XXVIII Reunião Ordinária do CERH, que abordou a criação Plano Estadual de Recursos Hídricos (PERH), instrumento de grande importância para o planejamento, pois apresentará diretrizes e ações que contemplem as diversas realidades do Estado do Pará. Vale destacar que nesta reunião, ocorreu a troca de representantes da ABES-PA no Conselho, recentemente ocupada por Haroldo Picanço, que também já foi presidente da ABES Pará e hoje faz parte do Conselho Consultivo da nova diretoria.
“A ABES-PA continua sempre fortalecendo as lutas em busca da melhoria e universalização do saneamento em nosso Estado”, afirma Vanessa Melo, Presidente da Seção.
