ABES-PB promove em João Pessoa 1º Encontro de Engenharias e reúne estudantes da UFPB

Sucesso de participação com um público de aproximadamente 300 pessoas, o evento foi realizado em parceria com a UFPB, a Cagepa e o Crea-PB, no dia 27 de julho.

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção Paraíba (ABES-PB) realizou o I Encontro de Engenharias, em parceria com a Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), a Companhia de Água e Esgotos da Paraíba (CAGEPA) e o Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia da Paraíba (CREA-PB). O evento, que foi sucesso de público, aconteceu no dia 27 de julho, no Auditório do Centro de Tecnologia da UFPB, e contou com participação de cerca de 300 pessoas. Grande parte do público foi composta por estudantes do curso de engenharia civil e engenharia ambiental da Universidade.

Também estiveram presentes alunos de outros locais como do Instituto Federal da Paraíba (IFPB), da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB), e do Centro Universitário de João Pessoa (UNIPÊ), além de representantes da Agência Executiva de Gestão das Águas da Paraíba (AESA) e de empresas privadas. O encontro teve início com a mesa de abertura que contou com representantes das entidades. A ABES Paraíba se fez presente na figura do presidente José Dantas de Lima; a Reitoria da UFPB marcou presença com a professora Liana Albuquerque. Também participaram o presidente da CAGEPA, Marcus Vinícius Fernandes Neves, o presidente do CREA-PB, Hugo Paiva, o coordenador do curso de Engenharia Civil, Pablo Sousa, e a coordenadora do curso de Engenharia Ambiental, Aline Remígio.

O encontro contou com palestras sobre os 4 componentes do saneamento básico, entre eles: abastecimento de água; coleta e tratamento de esgotos; resíduos sólidos e drenagem urbana. Para comentar sobre os temas, foram convidados o Dr. Laudizio Diniz, Dr. George Cunha, Dra. Claudia Coutinho Nóbrega e Dr. Tarciso Cabral, que explanaram sobre a importância da engenharia e a realidade local do saneamento.
