ABES-Pernambuco participa de plenária do Fórum Lixo e Cidadania no estado

O presidente da ABES Seção Pernambuco (ABES-PE), Sergio Xavier dos Santos, esteve presente, nesta sexta, 13 de abril, na plenária do Fórum Lixo e Cidadania em Pernambuco – FLIC-PE, do qual faz parte da Coordenação. O evento ocorreu no Auditório da FUNASA, em Recife/PE. O evento contou com um público composto por diversos órgãos públicos, como secretários técnicos de prefeituras, técnicos da FUNASA, secretarias estaduais, ONG’s, universidade e outras entidades e órgaos, além de técnicos em geral.
De acordo com Sergio, ocorreram na plenária duas apresentações, com os palestrantes Paulo Teixeira (TCE) e Domingos Sávio, e discussão acerca dos temas: “Relatório do Tribunal de Contas do Estado de PE (TCE) sobre a situação  dos Resíduos Sólidos no Estado, com ênfase nós Lixões” e “Destino de Resíduos Eletroeletrônicos”, com programa de treinamento de jovens nível médio na recuperação de equipamentos para uso e elaboração de aplicativos, bem como, Treinamento de Catadores na coleta e retirada de materiais para reúso, com segurança, melhorando as condições de comercialização, melhorando sua renda, além de evitar a contaminação do meio ambiente.
Ele aproveitou a oportunidade para divulgar a ABES, enumerando as diversas  vantagens de ser sócio da entidade, bem como, a importância de fortalecer a associação, que mantém uma luta em defesa do saneamento e meio ambiente e dos profissionais ligados à temática, conclamando a todos a se associarem. “Alertamos a todos sobre as ações da ABES em nível nacional em combater a Medida Provisória que o Governo Federal quer implantar em detrimento da Lei 11.445/2007 (Lei do Saneamento), com o chamamento público, que irá desestruturar o subsídio cruzado, prejudicando os municípios deficitários.”, conta
