A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental- ABES Seção Rio Grande do Sul (ABES-RS), em parceria com o Centro Estadual de Vigilância em Saúde- CEVS, por meio do Programa VIGIAGUA, promoverá, no dia 27 de setembro, o primeiro “Seminário Estadual de Água e Saúde”. Com o tema “Desafios para garantir água segura à população: fornecimento e reservação”, o encontro ocorrerá no Auditório Ematér, em Porto Alegre. Inscrições gratuitas e limitadas aqui.
O evento tem como objetivos integrar os diferentes atores responsáveis por garantir a segurança na qualidade da água para consumo humano, o estado do RS. Promover a discussão sobre a importância de realizar a manutenção e limpeza periódica dos reservatórios de água para consumo humano, seja em reservatórios do sistema de distribuição de água para a população, seja em prédios coletivos ou residências individuais.
A ideia da iniciativa é consolidar um fórum de excelência no Estado para divulgar e promover o debate relativo aos avanços e desafios que a sociedade obteve ou enfrenta no tocante a água que consome.
Água com qualidade
A garantia do fornecimento de água com qualidade e quantidade suficiente para suprir as necessidades básicas da população Gaúcha é um desafio para os Sistema e as Soluções Alternativas Coletivas de Abastecimento de Água para Consumo Humano, pressupõe algum tipo de tratamento e a manutenção da qualidade e quantidade até os consumidores, conforme o estabelecido na legislação vigente (Portaria MS nº 2914/2011). Sendo esse desafio ainda maior à população da zona rural em que o abastecimento de água é por meio de soluções Alternativas individuais, cada família tem a sua fonte própria (poços ou fontes), são contemplados apenas com ações vigilância do Programa VIGIAGUA, dentre as quais a distribuição de hipoclorito de sódio 2,5% para desinfecção da água no nível intra domiciliar.
A reservação de água potável constitui-se em unidade fundamental para a garantia do fornecimento contínuos de água á população, por isso a manutenção e limpeza dessas estruturas é elemento essencial na manutenção da qualidade da água. Constata-se, porém, que tanto companhias de saneamento, serviços autônomos, sociedades hídricas e outros atores responsáveis pelo abastecimento público, como proprietários de residências, síndicos ou administradores de imóveis negligenciam tal atividade. Também as empresas prestadoras de serviços ou os produtos saneantes não atendem critérios técnicos que garantam a segurança da higienização.
Este seminário ocorrerá anualmente e integrará a programação da Semana Estadual da Água, que ocorrerá no de 30 de agosto à 07 de setembro de 2017.
