ABES-SP lança guia sobre saneamento ambiental e saúde do catador de material reciclável

Com coordenação da engenheira Roseane Maria Garcia Lopes de Souza, diretora da ABES-SP e coordenadora das Câmaras Técnicas de Saúde Pública e de Resíduos Sólidos da entidade, o livro, que será publicado em versão impressa e digital, conta com nove capítulos assinados por 17 especialistas no tema. Lançamento ocorrerá em 9 de novembro

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES Seção São Paulo (ABES-SP), por meio de sua Câmara Técnica de Resíduos Sólidos – CTRS, lançará, no dia 9 de novembro (sexta-feira), na capital paulista, o Guia “Saneamento Ambiental e Saúde do Catador De Material Reciclável”. O lançamento ocorrerá durante evento das 8h às 12h, no Auditório Augusto Ruschi da Cetesb, em Pinheiros/SP.

Com coordenação da engenheira Roseane Maria Garcia Lopes de Souza, diretora da ABES-SP e coordenadora das Câmaras Técnicas de Saúde Pública e de Resíduos Sólidos da entidade, o “Guia”, que será publicado em versão impressa e digital, conta com nove capítulos assinados por 17 especialistas no tema. O livro tem como objetivo subsidiar na formulação de políticas públicas na área de resíduos sólidos. É direcionado a órgãos públicos, entidades do setor, sociedade civil e profissionais ligados ao saneamento, à saúde e ao meio ambiente.

Origem do Guia 

Tudo começou com a palestra sobre saúde e risco ao catador que a engenheira Roseane realizou na Exopocatador. No debate foram propostas respostas para diminuir os riscos e melhorar a condição de saúde do catador, o que foi aceito, e a ideia do  livro foi lançada. Várias reuniões foram feitas  com o objetivo de pesquisar as questões de segurança, saúde e meio ambiente das cooperativas de catadores de materiais recicláveis no estado de São Paulo.

A partir da constatação da carência de bibliografia acerca do tema , em 2017,  a ABES  convidou vários especialista para juntos fazerem a publicação,  que conta com os seguintes capítulos e autores:
