Artigo: Startups como propulsoras dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS)

Líderes mundiais de 193 países se reuniram na Organização das Nações Unidas em 2015 e deliberaram um conjunto de 17 Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) com o desafio de acabar com a pobreza, combater a desigualdade e a injustiça, enfrentando as mudanças climáticas que ocorrerão até 2030[1].

Como fomentar o atingimento das metas propostas para 2030? Como implementar ações reais para neste sentido? Como gerar emprego e renda com estratégia reconstrutivista da indústria 4.0? A resposta destes desafios enfrentados pelos ODSs é a INOVAÇÃO e a ferramenta a ‘STARTUP’.

Fator determinante é fazer/manufaturar diferente, e impactará as metas de 2030 dos ODSs. O êxito dos ODSs demanda inovações disruptivas e cocriações de novas soluções com a sociedade, comenta Luciana Aguiar[2], gerente de Parcerias e Desenvolvimento para o Setor Privado do Programa das Nações Unidas para o Desenvolvimento.

Atualmente, crescer e se manter competitivo no mercado nunca foi tão complexo. As tecnologias chegam a obsolescência cada vez mais rápido. As boas práticas de gestão e governança são importantes, no entanto, não aceleram e transformam os modelos de negócios tradicionais na mesma velocidade das ‘startups’. As ‘startups’ inspiram novos modelos de negócios que exigem muito menos recursos e criam soluções inovadoras, no início mais que apenas geração de caixa e lucros. Esse é o dito ecossistema que está caracterizado por uma integração de diversas formas de conhecimento e que exige equipes multidisciplinares.

As ‘startups’ têm desafiado modelos de negócios estabelecidos e conquistado cada vez mais relevância, que podem inclusive contribuir fortemente com o atingimento de metas globais importantes como as dos ODSs.

Desde a adoção dos ODSs, iniciativas de ‘startups’ foram criadas para acelerar o atingimento de suas metas. Um exemplo de iniciativa é o grupo ‘Unreasonable Goals’ (‘UG’), que é uma parceria entre governos e multinacionais, alavancando as forças do mercado para alcançar Objetivos Imensuráveis de curto prazo.  ‘UG’ apoia as soluções empresariais em relação a cada um dos ODSs, envolvendo-os com a orientação, financiamento e relações governamentais necessárias para alavancar os ODSs no mundo de forma mais rápida[3]. O plano ‘UG’ é criar até 2030 um grupo por ano com empreendedores de negócios de impacto social alinhados com os ODS.

A primeira edição do programa foi realizada em Washington, em julho de 2017. Nesse programa participaram duas empresas brasileiras. A Tamboro[4] é uma das duas companhias brasileiras de ‘startup’ participante e foi escolhida por ter o seu negócio associado ao ODS4 – assegurar a educação inclusiva, equitativa e de qualidade, e promover oportunidades de aprendizagem ao longo da vida para todos.

O Brasil tem mostrado grande empenho no processo em torno dos ODS em todas as suas temáticas, mas sem ações inovadoras como das startups será difícil atingir as 169 metas propostas para os ODSs.

Formada em Biologia, pela Fundação Santo André (2007) e Tecnóloga em Hidráulica e Saneamento Ambiental, pela FATEC-SP – Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo  (2012). Mestre em Tecnologias Ambientais pelo Centro Estadual de Educação Tecnológica Paula Souza (2012). Doutoranda do programa de Energia da Universidade federal do ABC. Coautora do livro Ciclo Ambiental da Água (2012). Coautora do livro Dessalinização de Águas (2015). Foi auxiliar docente no Laboratório de Saneamento Ambiental e Química (LABSAN – FATEC-SP), com atuação em análises de água e esgoto. Foi professora assistente (2013 – 2015) das disciplinas: Introdução à Hidráulica e ao Saneamento Ambiental da FATEC-SP, Construção de Sistemas de Drenagem Urbana, Biologia Sanitária. Atuou como docente da disciplina Hidráulica, hidrologia e monitoramento, do curso de Especialização em Gestão de Recursos Hídricos Do Senac Jabaquara (2015) e atualmente é tecnóloga da SABESP – Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo atuando na área de responsabilidade Socioambiental e desenvolvimento de fornecedores e é docente titular da área de hidráulica e saneamento do curso de Engenharia Civil da Universidade Cidade de São Paulo – UNICID. Faz parte do Grupo de Pesquisas sobre Dessalinização de águas salobras e salinas da FATEC-SP.

 Trabalha na SABESP como engenheiro mecânico desde 1992. Mestre em administração com concentração em Internacionalização de Empresas; MBA Teoria Organizacional para Engenheiros; Pós-graduado em Administração Industrial, Gestão de Projetos e Hidromecânica. Especialista com certificação em Controle Ativo de Vazamentos, especialista em Plásticos e Polimeros. Atualmente é Conselheiro Deliberativo da ABES.
