O lançamento do livro “Gestão Empresarial e Sustentabilidade”, da Edições Manole, ocorreu nesta terça-feira, 8 de novembro, na Livraria Martins Fontes, em São Paulo/SP. Uma das autoras da obra, que reúne diversos professores da Universidade de São Paulo, é a engenheira Ester Feche Guimarães, associada da ABES Seção São Paulo (ABES-SP). O capítulo que ela assina em parceria com com Tadeu Malheiros, orientador de tese de doutorado que ela defendeu no ano passado e  que inspirou o artigo, aborda modelos de gestão empresarial para saneamento em áreas de vulnerabilidade social no mundo e o estudo de caso Sabesp e Copanor.

“O livro traz diversos autores falando sobre a inovação empresarial dentro dos temas de sustentabilidade e nos desafios sociais em diversos países. No caso do meu capítulo, faço um levantamento dos modelos de gestão na América Latina, África e Índia que contribuíram para a realização de serviços em áreas de exclusão social. Como as prestadoras de serviço público tem equacionado o problema dentro da energia e do saneamento, como conseguiram arranjos junto com a sociedade e a própria comunidade carente para atender a inovação”, explica a engenheira.

O livro é coordenado pelo Prof. Dr. Arlindo Philippi Jr. No capítulo que assina, Ester Feche agradece as contribuições da ABES e do ex-presidente nacional, Dante Ragazzi Pauli, que colaboraram para promover a obtenção dos dados de campo da pesquisa.

    Historical Context and the Evolution of Timepieces
    The concept of the timepiece dates back to the need for exact timekeeping for navigation at sea, highlighted by John Harrison’s work in the 18th century. Since the official establishment of Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres in 1973, the certification has become a benchmark for assessing the accuracy of luxury timepieces, continuing a legacy of superiority in horology.
