A ABES terá importante atuação em dois grupos de trabalho recentemente criados na Câmara Técnica de Qualidade Ambiental e Gestão de Resíduos – CTQAGR do Conama: o GT para discutir a Proposta de Resolução CONAMA, que altera a Resolução nº 359/2005 (relativa ao padrão de fósforo); e o GT para discutir a Proposta de Resolução CONAMA que define Critérios para Produção de Composto de Resíduos Sólidos Orgânicos.
No primeiro, a ABES será responsável pela coordenação, que será feita por Célia Rennó, representante da entidade no Conama e coordenadora da Câmara Temática de Recursos Hídricos da ABES. A vice-coordenação será do Ministério da Saúde e a relatoria, da CNI – Confederação Nacional da Indústria.
No segundo grupo de trabalho, a ABES fará a relatoria. Neste caso, a coordenação será de Zilda Veloso, do Ministério do Meio Ambiente, e a vice-coordenação ficará a cargo da CNI.
