Na última terça, 04 de junho, ocorreu na sede da Cetesb, em São Paulo, a cerimônia do prêmio Jovem da Água de Estocolmo (Stockholm Junior Water Prize – SJWP) – Etapa Brasil 2019, que neste ano teve o programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento JPS da ABES com embaixador. Em sua terceira edição no país, o Prêmio recebeu 27 projetos, dos quais 5 finalistas foram selecionados para a cerimônia que escolheria um vencedor para ir a Estocolmo representar o Brasil na final do prêmio.
O trabalho vencedor, intitulado “Síntese de partículas de magnetita associadas a carvão ativo e poliuretano para a adsorção de corantes e íons de Cd e Co”, foi elaborado pelos alunos Livia Luiza Pinaso e Victor Marotta Souza Cruz da Escola ETEC Irmã Agostina, da cidade de São Paulo, e orientado pela professora Márcia Freitas Silva. O protótipo desenvolvido propõe a remoção de metais da água por adsorção em uma associação de carvão ativado e Poliuretano.
Além do apoio JPS/ABES, a edição de 2019, organizada pela Brasilcham Sweden, contou com patrocínio do Instituto Iguá e Xylen e apoio institucional da Adasa. “Contou com o apoio de instituições chave que representam causas de significativa relevância social e ambiental no país. Os patrocinadores do Prêmio, através do incentivo e investimento, tornaram possível a valorização da ciência jovem em prol da água e inseriram no mapa a contribuição Brasileira para o tema”, afirma Ana Carolina Deveza, Gerente do Stockholm Junior Water Prize Brazil.
A cerimônia de premiação contou com momentos emocionantes e discursos fortes e motivadores.
