Aconteceu de 23 a 25 de maio no Instituto Federal de Quixadá, no Ceará, o mais importante evento de Saneamento Rural do Brasil. Com um público de 250 pessoas e participação de representantes de 21 estados do Brasil, o encontro congregou o IX Seminário Nacional de Saneamento Rural, o IV Encontro Latino-Americano de Saneamento Rural e o IX Seminário de Gestão de Sisars e Centrais, promovido pela Câmara Temática de Saneamento Rural, da ABES, em parceria com os Sisars e Centrais e apoio da GESAR (Gerência de Saneamento Rural) da CAGECE – Companhia de Saneamento do Ceará, com apoio do Governo do Estado do Ceará, por meio da Secretaria das Cidades e da CAGECE. Com o tema “Água, Saneamento e Saúde”, o evento teve por objetivo fomentar o debate sobre as políticas de saneamento rural e trocar experiências entre os representantes do setor rural e de áreas afins. O congresso reuniu participantes do Ceará, de vários estados do Brasil e de outros países da América Latina, como Colômbia e Peru.
A solenidade de abertura, realizada na tarde do dia 23, reuniu também gestores e colaboradores da Gerência de Saneamento Rural da Cagece e representantes de todos os Sistemas Integrados de Saneamento Rural (Sisar). Contou com a participação do diretor-presidente da Cagece, Neuri Freitas, do diretor de Unidades de Negócio do Interior, Hélder Cortez, dos secretários Paulo Lustosa e Francisco Teixeira, respectivamente, das Cidades e dos Recursos Hídricos, além da coordenadora nacional da Câmara Temática de saneamento rural da ABES, Mônica Bicalho, entre outras autoridades do estado e de órgãos nacionais como a Funasa.
Mônica Bicalho ressaltou a importância do evento, que agrega os profissionais que trabalham no setor de saneamento rural. Ela frisou que desde que o evento passou a ser realizado em conjunto, tem dado resultados incríveis. “Por meio da ABES iniciou-se a visibilidade desse trabalho maravilhoso que o Ceará tem pra mostrar para a América Latina e para o mundo, inclusive muitas missões de outros países têm vindo para conhecer o Sisar. O Brasil está tendo a oportunidade de conhecer o modelo de gestão do Sisar e de fazer igual.”
Ela acrescentou que cada vez mais, com os encontros, torna-se clara a importância de estar juntos porque é o mesmo público e o mesmo interesse. “O que a gente quer é mostrar resultados e o Sisar consegue mostrar isso de forma maravilhosa. Então, os demais nos mostram o que eles fazem e levam o que o Sisar tem de bom pra aplicar nos seus estados. É uma alegria muito grande ver esse auditório lotado, tivemos que fechar as inscrições 10 dias antes do evento. Isso nunca tinha acontecido. Estamos muito felizes em ver todos participando.”
No primeiro dia de debates, o projeto Malha d´Água foi apresentado pelo secretário da SRH, Francisco Teixeira.
Representando o presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza, o diretor nacional Sérgio Gonçalves apresentou a visão da ABES no painel “Medida Provisória para Revisão do Marco Legal do Saneamento” (conheça a posição da ABES aqui).
A programação terminou na sexta-feira, dia 25, abordando ainda temas como evolução dos Sisars, Gestão do Sistema Integrado do Complexo Batentes, o maio sistema rural do Brasil, Saneamento Rural na América Latina e Investimentos para o Saneamento Rural, entre outros.
