Evento promovido pela ABES, em Aracajú, contou com um público de cerca de 100 pessoas

Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – ABES promoveu, nesta quarta, 23 de agosto, mais um encontro do “Ciclo de Debates “Desafios do Saneamento Ambiental no Brasil”. Esta foi a vez de da capital sergipana, Aracajú, receber a discussão, que já aconteceu na maioria dos estados brasileiros. O ciclo, que foi realizado no Auditório do Sebrae – Serviço de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas de Sergipe, contou com a participação de cerca de 100 pessoas, entre professores, técnicos, estudantes, dirigentes de entidades entre outros.

Na oportunidade, o presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza, abordou os 10 anos da Lei de Saneamento e o saneamento na Região Nordeste e em Sergipe. Houve também um debate acerca do tema “saneamento público ou privado”.

“Foi um evento muito bom”, ressalta o presidente da ABES-SE, José Alves Nunes. “Muito importante para questões atuais e futuras relativas à universalização do saneamento que não mais será atendida no prazo de 20 anos”, conclui ele, que concedeu entrevista sobre o tema ao programa “Bom dia Sergipe”, da TV Sergipe.

Os participantes tiveram a oportunidade de conhecer, por meio da apresentação de Roberval Tavares, o estudo da ABES “Situação do Saneamento Básico no Brasil – uma análise com base na PNAD 2015” sobre os serviços de abastecimento de água, esgotamento sanitário, coleta de lixo e filtro de água no Brasil, em um comparativo 2014/2015. Todas as informações têm como base a Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios (PNAD), divulgada pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), anualmente. O relatório completo com os dados por Grandes Regiões e Unidades da Federação está disponível aqui.
