Desafios do Saneamento Ambiental: ciclo de debates reúne empresas, poder público e universidades em Porto Alegre

A ABES Diretoria Nacional e a ABES Seção Rio Grande do Sul promoveram nesta segunda-feira, 3 de abril, em Porto Alegre, mais uma edição do Ciclo de Debates “Desafios do Saneamento Ambiental no Brasil.”

A reunião almoço, realizada no Palácio do Comércio, na capital gaúcha, com palestra do presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza, foi sucesso de participação, contando com 70 convidados, entre associados, presidentes e diretores de empresas e membros de universidades. Entre os participantes, esteve presente o diretor-presidente da Corsan, Flávio Ferreira Presser, e membros da diretoria do Dmae de Porto Alegre. “O encontro foi muito bom. A presença de um público qualificado – de empresas, poder público e academia – mostra a força da ABES. A apresentação do presidente nacional foi extremamente clara e objetiva no sentido de mostrar om cenário atual do saneamento no Brasil e as demandas necessárias para previsão de retomada de crescimento. O investimento passa a ter um papel fundamental”, ressalta Alexandre Bugin, presidente da ABES-RS.

No evento, além de abordar o Saneamento na Região Sul e no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Roberval discorreu sobre o tema “público/privado”, que tem concentrado atenções no setor e foi objeto de muitas perguntas durante o debate. “Roberval mostrou a posição da ABES em relação aos investimentos, à qualidade dos serviços e à universalização. Somos contrários à privatização de forma irrestrita, deve haver um equilíbrio”, pontua Buigin.

Maria Lucia Coelho Silva, membro da ABES-RS e da Diretoria Nacional da ABES, além de articuladora nacional das Câmaras Temáticas da entidade, também frisou a participação diversificada no encontro. “Foi um encontro excelente, tivermos um público diverso e qualificado, de empresas, setor público e universidades.”

Os próximos encontros do Ciclo de Debates “Desafios do Saneamento Ambiental no Brasil” serão realizados em Boa Vista/RR, dia 17 de abril; Vitória/ES, dia 19; e Natal/RN, dia 28.
