Desafios do Saneamento Ambiental: com criação do JPS-TO, ciclo de debates é realizado no Tocantins

A Associação Brasileira de Engenharia sanitária e Ambiental – ABES promoveu, nesta terça, 15 de agosto, mais um encontro do Ciclo de Debates: Desafios do Saneamento Ambiental no Brasil. Esta foi a vez de Palmas, no Tocantins, receber o evento, que ocorreu na Universidade Federal do Tocantins e contou com a participação de aproximadamente 80 pessoas, entre profissionais da área e universitários. A ocasião foi marcada pela criação do programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES-Tocantins (JPS-TO).

Na próxima semana, de acordo com Liliana Naval, diretora nacional da ABES, serão realizadas as primeiras reuniões do JPS-TO. “Já há uma série de atividades elencadas”, adianta ela.

Sobre o evento, Liliana ressalta que “foi bastante interessante, com a participação de muitos universitários”. Segundo ela, o ciclo de debates funcionou como um processo de estimulação para boa parte dos participantes. “Os estudantes, profissionais do setor recém-formados, pessoas que estão entrando no mercado de trabalho encontram algumas dificuldades. E quando eles ouvem profissionais que alcançaram uma certa posição na carreira falando sobre saneamento e, sobretudo, sobre os desafios do saneamento, abre uma porta de conhecimento para eles”, ressalta.

Liliana Naval acrescenta que os palestrantes, o presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza, o diretor do Departamento de Recursos Hídricos – MMA, Sérgio Antonio Gonçalves e Dênis Lacerda de Queiroz, presidente da BRK Ambiental/Saneatins, conduziram de forma excelente suas apresentações. “Porque ao demonstrar os desafios na área, revelaram também muitas potenciais oportunidades”, salienta.

Outro destaque do encontro, segundo Liliana Naval, foi a iniciativa da BRK Ambiental/Saneatins, que ofertou a todos os participantes um estágio de curta duração na empresa. “A ideia é mostrar um pouco da realidade da operação do setor, do seu funcionamento”, diz.

A programação do evento contou, ainda, com uma Visita técnica à Estação de Tratamento de Efluentes: ETE NORTE
