DIADESOL 2023: JPS-SP promove palestras em escolas públicas para conscientização sobre resíduos sólidos na águas

Em uma iniciativa conjunta com a Câmara Técnica de Resíduos Sólidos da ABES-SP, o programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da seção (JPS-SP) está realizando uma série de palestras em escolas da rede pública. A ação é feita em parceria com o Diadesol (Dia Interamericano de Limpeza e Cidadania), campanha educativa da ABES-SP de conscientização sobre questões relacionadas a resíduos sólidos, e com a Roda Rico do Parque Villa Lobos. 

O objetivo da ação do JPS-SP nas escolas é estimular a conscientização dos alunos sobre o tema “Resíduos sólidos nas águas dos mares, rios, lagos e córregos. O que eu tenho a ver com isso? (mote dos Concursos de Desenho Infantil e Vídeo Amador do Diadesol 2023). Visa também promover o consumo consciente em comemoração ao Diadesol, que é celebrado no terceiro sábado de setembro (neste ano a data caiu no dia 16) e é um dia dedicado à limpeza e à cidadania. 

Fernanda Ribeiro, coordenadora do JPS-SP, ressalta a relevância da iniciativa: “As palestras são ministradas por voluntários e todo o material foi desenvolvido em colaboração com a câmara técnica de resíduos sólidos da ABES-SP. Nossos voluntários recebem orientações e treinamento para conduzir as palestras de forma eficaz.”

Além das palestras, o projeto inclui reuniões de alinhamento após as apresentações para compartilhar experiências e fornecer dicas aos palestrantes que ministrarão as próximas palestras. Fernanda afirma que “tem sido uma experiência maravilhosa. Estamos animados em ver como as crianças estão engajadas e interessadas no tema do consumo consciente e na gestão de resíduos sólidos.”

Uma característica notável do projeto é a integração com a Roda Rico, onde as crianças têm a oportunidade de visitar um observatório voltado para o Rio Pinheiros. O objetivo é promover a conscientização sobre a importância de preservar e melhorar o estado atual do rio, tornando-o um ambiente mais saudável e sustentável.

A estudante Priscila Reis Mais, que está cursando Engenharia Ambiental e Sanitária e é  estagiária do Departamento de Recursos Hídricos e Saneamento da Secretaria de Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos de Osasco, ministrou palestra na EMEF Ministro Anibal sobre consumo consciente da água, disponibilidade hídrica e urbanização.  “Estivemos presentes em uma escola localizada na Imperatriz Leopoldina. Foi um dia muito bom, de muito aprendizado, em que as crianças participaram e mostraram que tinham domínio do assunto”, avaliou. Também palestraram Juliana Saldonas Saqueti e Fernanda Ribeiro da Silva. 

Outras escolas que já receberam ou ainda receberão palestras são a EMEF Marechal Espiridião Rosas, EMEF Emiliano Augusto, EE Augusto do Amaral, EE José Monteiro Boanova, EE Dilermando Dias, CEU Jaguaré e EE Andronico de Mello.

A jovem convida os jovens a se inscreverem para ministrar palestras; os palestrantes recebem um certificado emitido pela ABES-SP e um par de ingressos para a Roda Rico. Priscila Reis Mais recomenda a experiência: “você que é jovem e quer participar dessa experiência única, dessa realização pessoal e profissional, eu indico que vocês sejam JPS e participem de todas as oportunidades possíveis, porque realmente faz toda a diferença.”

Além das palestras, o projeto também serve como plataforma para divulgar os concursos do Diadesol. Os alunos recebem informações sobre as regras, elegibilidade e projetos que podem ser desenvolvidos. Exemplos de vídeos e desenhos são apresentados aos alunos, inspirando seu envolvimento em iniciativas ambientais.

“Estamos muito gratos por termos desenvolvido esse projeto em parceria com a câmara de resíduos e esperamos que, ao final dessas palestras, os jovens tenham absorvido o conceito de consumo consciente de forma duradoura. Esta tem sido uma experiência extremamente positiva”, conclui, com entusiasmo, Fernanda Ribeiro.
