Diretor da ABES fala a estudantes e professores do Ceará sobre o saneamento no Nordeste

O diretor nacional da ABES, o engenheiro Álvaro José Menezes da Costa, ministrou palestra na última sexta-feira, 5 de maio, durante a Reunião Regional, promovida pela Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência – SBPC e pela Universidade Regional do Cariri – URCA em Crato, no Ceará.

Com o tema “Saneamento básico: situação atual no Nordeste brasileiro”, a palestra contou com mais de 50 participantes, entre estudantes e professores, e promoveu a discussão sobre como a academia, principalmente os estudantes de graduação e pós-graduação, veem o saneamento a partir dos resultados decorrentes do índice de atendimento, das tarifas, dos investimentos e da gestão em geral.

“Foi importante também para chamar atenção para a vinculação de currículos acadêmicos, com a realidade espelhada nos serviços de saneamento e desenvolvimento das cidades. Além disso, se mostrou também que o saneamento é decorrente da própria evolução da ciência e não é uma ação relacionada com engenharia apenas”, ressalta Álvaro.
