Nesta segunda-feira, dia 7 de novembro, o engenheiro Luiz Augusto de Lima Pontes transferiu o cargo de presidente da Associação Interamericana de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental (AIDIS) para a Drª. Carmen del Pilar Tello Espinoza, do México. A cerimônia foi realizada durante o 16º Encontro Técnico de Alto Nível: Reúso de Água, promovido pela entidade, em parceria com a Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental Seção São Paulo (ABES-SP), na Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (POLI/USP)
“É muita felicidade para mim e para o México estar aqui, agora como presidente da AIDIS para o período 2016-2018”, disse Carmen del Pilar Tello Espinoza. “É uma grande satisfação estar em São Paulo, sobretudo nesse evento sobre reúso, que tem igual importância para nossos países da América do Sul, cujos recursos hídricos estão cada vez menores, devido a eventos de escassez de água”, ressaltou.
Luiz Augusto de Lima Pontes ressaltou que a “na atual gestão tivemos como preocupação central nos preparar para o melhor cumprimento das responsabilidades no âmbito das metas do desenvolvimento sustentável, estabelecido pela Organização das Nações Unidas – ONU.”
