O Itaú Unibanco, em parceria com o Instituto Ekos Brasil, acaba de lançar o edital da edição 2017 do Programa Ecomudança. As inscrições já estão abertas e podem ser feitas até o dia 27 de março pelo site. A iniciativa prevê a destinação de até R$ 100 mil por projeto selecionado. O valor do apoio financeiro vem dos fundos de renda fixa Ecomudança Itaú, que destina 30% das taxas de administração ao programa.
O objetivo do Ecomudança é transformar os investimentos dos clientes do Itaú Unibanco em benefícios para a sociedade. O programa estimula e fomenta projetos de redução de emissão de gases de efeito estufa, incluindo iniciativas relacionadas à eficiência energética, energia renovável, manejo de resíduos, florestas, agricultura sustentável e mobilidade, e projetos de redução de pegada hídrica, como construção de cisternas ou dessalinizadores em áreas críticas e tratamento de efluentes.
Podem participam do Ecomudança entidades sem fins lucrativos – organizações sociais, fundações, cooperativas e associações, inclusive as que atuam como movimentos sociais. Além disso, buscam-se projetos com potencial de gerar renda para se manterem financeiramente a longo prazo, e com alto potencial de replicabilidade.
O processo de seleção é dividido em quatro etapas: triagem das inscrições; seleção dos projetos semifinalistas; visita técnica às organizações; seleção final dos projetos que receberão investimentos. A comissão de análise técnica é composta por profissionais do Itaú Unibanco e do Instituto Ekos Brasil. Todo processo de inscrição é feito de forma online e gratuita. Os projetos selecionados serão divulgados em setembro deste ano.
“O Ecomudança tem papel fundamental na atuação do banco como agente de transformação da sociedade”, afirma Denise Hills, Superintendente de Sustentabilidade e Negócios Inclusivos do Itaú Unibanco. “Os resultados do programa são incrivelmente transformadores, com impactos importantes para o desenvolvimento das comunidades onde estão localizados”, completa.
