Jovens recebem orientações sobre estágio e primeiro emprego em encontro promovido pelo JPS-SP

Jovens profissionais e estudantes participaram, nesta terça-feira, 27 de junho, na sede da ABES-SP, da roda de conversa “Estágio e Primeiro Emprego”, promovida pelo Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES-SP (JPS-SP), na sede da entidade. O evento contou com a presença da gerente do Departamento de Recursos Hídricos Metropolitanos da Sabesp, Mara Ramos, e da coordenadora do SAAE Guarulhos, Lygia Felix e teve mediação do engenheiro civil e sanitarista Fernando Henrique Pereira de Moraes, do grupo de coordenação do JPS-SP.

Mara Ramos discorreu sobre carreira nos setores público e privado, busca por estágio ou primeiro emprego, perfil de profissional que o mercado busca, qualificação, carências do setor e importância da equipe multidisciplinar. Apontou a carência do setor em encontrar profissionais com conhecimento em plano de segurança de barragens e hidrologia e destacou a demanda por profissionais com conhecimento mais amplo, em meio ambiente, biologia e direito, por exemplo. Outro ponto abordado em sua palestra é a maior participação de homens no segmento e a necessidade de mais mulheres no setor, o que poderia trazer mais diversidade de visão.

“O saneamento deve ser visto de uma forma integrada. O profissional deve ter conhecimento em um segundo idioma, conhecer as tecnologias, técnicas, metodologias e como aplicá-las. Usar a criatividade para inovar. O mercado não está bom devido ao momento de crise que ocorre em nosso país. Somente enviar currículo não é eficaz, o mais assertivo é o networking. Indicação é um canal e participar de congressos e apresentar trabalhos técnicos também é importante”, afirmou, ressaltando que motivação também deve ser um fator importante. “Os jovens devem buscar algo além do ofício, pois trabalhar com meio ambiente e saneamento é como lutar por uma causa. Pessoas que se destacam são aquelas que têm atitude, conhecimento, assertividade e proatividade.”

Falando sobre carreira pública e privada, a palestrante falou sobre concursos e regras para licitação e contratação de pessoa jurídica. Para a especialista, o evento é interessante pela possibilidade de trocar conhecimento e experiências com os jovens. ‘’É extremamente válida essa iniciativa da ABES, por meio do JPS, de inserir os jovens no mercado de trabalho. Esses encontros promovem a interação dos que estão começando com os mais experientes. Precisamos multiplicar conhecimento, dividir as experiências e contribuir para o crescimento do setor de saneamento. Temos muita carência e necessitamos de jovens com um perfil inovador, que sejam motivados e com vontade de fazer a diferença.’’

Lygia Felix, coordenadora do SAAE Guarulhos, orientou os jovens na elaboração do currículo, comportamento em uma entrevista de estágio/emprego e no dia a dia no trabalho, além de abordar as demandas do setor de saneamento. “Indicação é meio caminho andado para uma contratação. O currículo deve ser claro e objetivo para a vaga desejada. Sinceridade é importante na entrevista de estágio, pois o conhecimento acadêmico não é suficiente para exercer certas atividades. Por isso temos profissionais para orientar o estudante. As entrevistas são direcionadas para conhecer as habilidades”, destacou.

Ela ressaltou que o profissional deve ser motivado, manter a postura, ter atitude, buscar conhecimento constantemente, analisar os defeitos e qualidades e melhorar o que considera fragilidade. ”Existem novas demandas no mercado de saneamento e é difícil encontrar profissionais qualificados em determinadas áreas. Consultoria e empreendedorismo são possibilidades para os jovens, pois há demanda para projetos ambientais e de saneamento. Temos profissionais independentes e consultores e diversos contratos por meio de licitação. Fizemos uma parceria com uma empresa privada para tratamento de esgoto’’.

Lygia finalizou a palestra agradecendo pelo convite e a oportunidade de orientar os jovens profissionais. ‘’A roda de conversa é uma oportunidade de trazer dicas e informações. O pessoal que procura um estágio ou que esteja no início de carreira muitas vezes não tem acesso a informações de qualidade, mesmo com a internet. O evento tem uma conversa direcionada por ser dentro da área de saneamento e engenharia. Espero que os elementos dessa discussão possam ajudar esses jovens a conseguir o primeiro emprego, o primeiro estágio ou algo que esteja dentro de seu objetivo’’.

O engenheiro Fernando Henrique ressaltou que os jovens devem sempre se aperfeiçoar, participar de congressos, palestras, distribuir cartões de visita e buscar indicação para conquistar um emprego. Falou também sobre a dificuldade de encontrar fontes e profissionais para estudos e projetos de barragens, hidrologia e geotecnia. Como destacou, trata-se de uma área multidisciplinar, que exige outros conhecimentos.

Fernando Henrique também apontou as diferenças entre as empresas públicas e privadas, na forma de trabalhar, nos estudos, nos métodos de trabalhos e nas atividades. Para o engenheiro, o evento contribuiu para o aprimoramento dos jovens profissionais. “As palestrantes deram dicas, recomendações acadêmicas e profissionais para os jovens que estão iniciando as suas carreiras. O evento foi muito produtivo, pois houve interação das palestrantes com os estudantes, que tiveram suas dúvidas esclarecidas. O público é diversificado e teve a oportunidade de conversar e trocar experiências com profissionais do saneamento que estão com as suas carreiras consolidadas. Tudo isso irá contribuir para o aprimoramento profissional de todos os jovens que participaram’’.

Público participativo

Os jovens terminaram o encontro com informações valiosas para suas carreiras. Para Ana Carolina Barbuto, 27 anos, recém-formada em Engenharia Ambiental pela Unesp, Campus Presidente Prudente, a palestra foi uma boa iniciativa para orientar os jovens profissionais. “Gostei muito da palestra, esclareceu sobre os primeiros passos que o profissional do saneamento deve tomar em relação a estágio e primeiro emprego. Apontou as carências do setor, como por exemplo, a segurança de barragens e de hidrologia. As palestrantes direcionaram os jovens profissionais sobre a escolha que devem fazer nesse momento.’’

Para Leonardo Alves, 28 anos, graduado em Engenharia Ambiental e Sanitária pela Universidade Metodista e técnico ambiental, a palestra foi motivadora e mudará sua carreira. ‘’Foi muito gratificante. Os palestrantes abordaram sobre motivação e conhecimento e isso vai fazer a diferença em minha vida profissional.’’

Ana Beatriz Barros, 22 anos, que cursa o oitavo semestre de Engenharia Ambiental e Sanitária na Universidade Metodista, participou pela primeira vez de um evento do JPS-SP. “Eu trabalho, porém, ainda não estou na área e procuro uma oportunidade ou estágio. A palestra foi incentivadora e com informações valiosas, não somente profissional quanto para a vida pessoal também!! Adorei. Obrigada por essa oportunidade.”

A participação expressiva de jovens é um  ponto de destaque para o engenheiro Fernando Henrique, do grupo coordenador do JPS-SP. “Fiquei muito satisfeito com quórum atingido, tendo em vista que atravessamos um momento difícil para o mercado de trabalho neste segmento, em função dos baixos investimentos destinados à infraestrutura no País. Os jovens que compareceram deram um passo à frente em suas carreiras, não apenas pelo interesse e proatividade em participar do evento, mas também por terem participado diretamente, questionando as palestrantes e interagindo de maneira muito produtiva, estabelecendo o networking na prática.”
