JPS lança novos núcleos: Amapá e Mato Grosso

A Olimpíada JPS durante o Congresso ABES Fenasan 2017, em outubro, em São Paulo, serviu de inspiração para a criação do núcleo Mato Grosso

O Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento (JPS) está em expansão pelo Brasil. Dois novos núcleos integram o programa da ABES: Amapá e Mato Grosso.

Kauê Boidi Pereira, formado em Meio Ambiente pela ETEC Getúlio Vargas, Gestão Ambiental pela FMU e cursando o 9° semestre do curso de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental pela UFMT, é o coordenador do JPS-MT. “A ideia de criar o núcleo surgiu quando descobri a existência do JPS e de seu papel junto aos novos profissionais da área. Quando participei das Olimpíadas JPS, no Congresso ABES Fenasan 2017 (promovido em são Paulo em outubro), e conversei com integrantes de outros núcleos, tive a certeza que gostaria de trazer essas ideias pro Mato Grosso”, explica.

O núcleo foi instituído há uma semana e pretende atrair integrantes do meio acadêmico, atuando na transição do estudante para se tornar profissional, com o objetivo de estimular e compartilhar conhecimento sobre o setor. O planejamento das ações e atividades já está sendo executado, segundo Kauê: “O núcleo irá atuar junto às universidades, programar e realizar palestras, workshops e eventos, para que os profissionais da área possam contribuir com suas experiências, perspectivas e tecnologias.”

A coordenadora do JPS-AP, Bruna Rocha de Oliveira, estudante do último semestre de Engenheira Ambiental e colaboradora da Embrapa Amapá, contou que a ideia de criar o núcleo surgiu a partir do contato com associados da ABES durante a palestra do Ciclo de Debates Desafios do Saneamento Ambiental no Brasil, ministrada pelo presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza. “A partir daí iniciamos o processo de criação da ABES-AP, seção que foi consolidada no dia 04/09/2017. O plano de ação, apresentado no Congresso ABES Fenasan 2017 para o presidente nacional da ABES e aos demais presidentes estaduais, será detalhado para Macapá no dia 07 de dezembro, em um evento de apresentação da diretoria”, afirmou a estudante.

A captação de jovens será feita nas principais instituições de ensino no estado, que têm cursos como Engenharia Ambiental e Gestão Ambiental, entre outros relacionados à área do meio ambiente. Serão realizadas palestras com o objetivo de abordar a atuação dos Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento hoje no Brasil e a importância do desenvolvimento e engajamento do setor no estado. Também serão oferecidos cursos (teóricos e práticos) periódicos, nos quais os associados da ABES terão benefícios. “O objetivo de tudo isso é que os novos JPS do Amapá passem a integrar essa cadeia de jovens compromissados com o desenvolvimento do setor de saneamento no país”, frisa Bruna.

O Núcleo pretende fazer a inauguração do programa em janeiro, durante a II Semana de Engenharia Ambiental que ocorrerá na UEAP, como parte do plano de ação.

O coordenador nacional do JPS, Álvaro Diogo Teixeira, explica que a expansão do programa está avançando. “As palestras do presidente nacional da ABES, Roberval Tavares de Souza, no Ciclo de Debates Desafios do Saneamento estão ajudando nisso, pois ele vai até as seções e reaviva o espírito da ABES. O pessoal se motiva para a implantação do JPS e faltam poucas seções para estarmos no país inteiro. Tenho a expectativa de que até o final do ano ou no começo de 2018 todas as seções da ABES tenham uma coordenação regional do JPS, pelo andar das conversas com os presidentes”, finaliza.
