A MP 844, que pode desestruturar o setor de saneamento no Brasil, deve seguir para votação na próxima terça-feira, dia 6 de novembro.
A ABES, juntamente com Asseame, AESBE, ABAR, ABM, FNU, FNP, FNSA e outras entidades da sociedade civil, reforça o posicionamento contrário à Medida Provisória (MP) 844, de 06 de julho de 2018, que altera o marco legal do saneamento (veja aqui o posicionamento da ABES).
Trata-se de uma MP inconstitucional, que afeta a titularidade municipal, o subsídio cruzado e a lógica dos ganhos de escala, prejudicando os municípios mais pobres e gerando um grande risco de aumento das tarifas de água e esgoto em todo o país. Comprometerá a universalização dos serviços e, ao contrário do defendido pelo Governo Federal, promoverá a desestruturação do setor de saneamento, agravando as diferenças entre cidades ricas e pobres e tornando a população mais pobre mais sujeita às doenças.
Diante dessa ameaça, você também pode manifestar-se CONTRA A MP 844, enviando mensagens aos parlamentares de seu Estado.
