Oficina Embaixadoras da Água no 8º Fórum abre inscrições para mulheres

Estão abertas as inscrições para a Oficina Embaixadoras da Água, uma das atividades do 8º Fórum Mundial da Água. O encontro será realizado no dia 20 de março, das 9 às 12h30, na Sala de Diálogos Água em Movimento, no interior da Vila Cidadã, montada no Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha. Serão disponibilizadas 70 vagas para mulheres de todo brasil.

O objetivo da oficina é sensibilizar mulheres de todo o mundo para que se tornem protagonistas de ações concretas, visando a gestão sustentável dos recursos hídricos. A programação inclui dinâmicas vivenciais, palestras e roda de mulheres abordando o tema água no âmbito e na perspectiva feminina.

A iniciativa é da Academia de Formação de Embaixadoras da Água, uma parceria entre o Brazil Women for Water (BPW), o Soroptimist International e o Women for Water Partnership (WfWP). As embaixadoras, como agentes, possuem como meta, atitudes, e missão viabilizar a implementação para que exerça com êxito o seu papel nesta dimensão priorizando o interesse local.

O fato de o público-alvo se restringir às mulheres é devido ao princípio 3 da declaração de Dublin, documento resultante da Conferência Internacional de Água e Meio Ambiente (ICWE), ocorrido na cidade de Dublin, na Irlanda, em janeiro de 1992. Segundo a declaração “As mulheres têm um papel fundamental na administração, gestão e proteção dos recursos hídricos; implícito no papel das mulheres está o processo, o que raramente se verifica nos arranjos institucionais da gestão dos recursos hídricos”.

“Na Academia de Capacitação de Embaixadoras da Água, já estamos trabalhando no que se refere à Agenda 2030 da ONU. Dos 17 Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável, iremos trabalhar especificamente as interfaces ‘Igualdade de gênero’ (ODS 5) e ‘Água e saneamento’ (ODS 6)”, especifica Yara Blochtein, coordenadora da oficina.

A oficina também contará com a presença de Mariet Verhoef Cohnenm,  presidente da International Soroptimist; Margarida Yassuda, vice-presidente do Women for Water Partnership; Eunice Cruz, do BPW – Brasil; Daniela Nogueira, doutora em Água e Gênero pela UnB/CNRS; e Agatha Tomazi, coordenadora do Parlamento Latinoamericano Caribenho da Juventude pela Água (PLACJA). Eldis Camargo dos Santos e Demetrios Christofidis atuarão como facilitadores dos debates.
