ONU lança competição para jovens sobre saneamento e direitos humanos

De acordo com a ONU, 2,5 bilhões de pessoas ainda sofrem com a falta de acesso a serviços de saneamento básico. Foto: UNICEF/Karin Schermbrucker

O relator especial da ONU (e associado da ABES) Léo Heller anunciou neste mês (12) uma competição para jovens de todo o mundo. O prêmio: uma viagem para Genebra, onde o vencedor participará de um evento das Nações Unidas. Para participar, pessoas com idade entre 15 e 24 anos devem criar um post original no Facebook, Twitter, YouTube ou Instagram, em que demonstrem seus conhecimentos e sua paixão pelo tema dos direitos humanos a água e saneamento.

Saiba como participar:

A publicação pode ser feita na rede social de preferência do participante. O conteúdo pode ter qualquer idioma ou formato (fotografia, vídeo, texto e/ou combinações dos três). O tamanho e/ou a duração dos posts são limitados pela própria plataforma de postagem.

Ao publicar o post, o competidor deve compartilhá-lo com uma das contas do relator especial — @UNSRwatsan no Instagram ou @SRwatsan no Facebook e Twitter. Também é necessário usar a hashtag #Youth4watsan (do inglês, que significa “jovens pela água e saneamento”) e marcar a conta do relator. Léo Heller é relator especial da ONU para os direitos humanos a água e saneamento.

O prazo para fazer a publicação e entrar no desafio é 6 de agosto. O vencedor será escolhido com base na sua compreensão dos direitos a água e saneamento e também na criatividade do post. O participante campeão deve expressar claramente o que significam esses direitos para a juventude.

Prêmio

O vencedor da competição será anunciado em 12 de agosto, Dia Internacional da Juventude. O campeão será convidado para participar de um evento paralelo da 39ª sessão do Conselho de Direitos Humanos da ONU, em Genebra. O ganhador apresentará sua publicação na rede social e falará sobre a situação dos direitos humanos a água e saneamento em seu país de origem.

A premiação cobrirá todos os gastos da viagem. As datas estimadas para a ida a Genebra são 10 ou 11 de setembro deste ano (a confirmar).

Se o vencedor for menor de idade, terá de ser acompanhado por um de seus pais ou responsável legal. O campeão tem a responsabilidade de obter visto e cobertura de seguro.
