Premiação ‘Momentum for Change’ está em busca de iniciativas concretas para combater as mudanças climáticas. Vencedores vão participar da Conferência do Clima da ONU de 2016, no Marrocos, além de receber uma série de outros benefícios que pretendem dar visibilidade e financiamento para os projetos. Prazo é até o dia 25 de abril; saiba como se inscrever.
Até o dia 25 de abril, a Convenção Quadro das Nações Unidas sobre Mudança do Clima (UNFCCC) recebe inscrições para a premiação “Momentum for Change”, que vai selecionar projetos de sucesso voltados para o combate às mudanças climáticas. O prêmio será dado às iniciativas mais inovadoras e que sejam capazes de serem replicadas em larga escala.
Podem participar organizações, comunidades, cidades, empresas, governos e outras entidades que estiverem engajadas em ações concretas para impedir as transformações do clima. Os projetos selecionados receberão da UNFCCC o título de “Lighthouse Activity”.
Em 2016, as iniciativas deverão focar em algum das três áreas-chaves definidas pela UNFCCC: mulheres por resultados; financiamento para investimentos sensíveis às questões climáticas; e soluções em tecnologia da informação e da comunicação.
Os ganhadores receberão diversos benefícios, incluindo participação – com todos os custos pagos – na Conferência do Clima da ONU de 2016, no Marrocos; acesso a decisores políticos e patrocinadores potenciais durante o evento; reconhecimento público pela UFCCC; apoio de relações públicas, treinamento para a comunicação com a imprensa; produção de vídeos promocionais de alta qualidade sobre o respectivo projeto e de podcasts; uma página sobre o projeto no site da UNFCCC; e recursos gráficos como serviços de design e fotografia profissional.
O derretimento das geleiras é uma das grandes preocupações das mudanças climáticas, aumentando o nível dos oceanos e ameaçando provocar o desaparecimento de regiões litorâneas e pequenas ilhas.
Os projetos vencedores serão anunciados em setembro e a cerimônia de premiação deverá ocorrer em novembro.
