Promovido pela ABES-RS, mobilização visa ressaltar a importância da água e realiza debate sobre educação ambiental na estreia

Nesta sexta, dia 25, foi realizada a abertura da 27ª Semana Interamericana e 20ª Semana Estadual da Água do RS, mobilização da sociedade para celebrar a importância da água, por meio de palestras online, atividades educativas e ações socioambientais. A iniciativa é uma realização da ABES Seção Rio Grande do Sul, com apoio da Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento (Corsan). Confira a programação geral do evento. .

“Temos a satisfação de promover, por meio da nossa seção do Rio Grande do Sul, um evento com tanta tradição e abrangência”, afirmou Alceu Guérios Bittencourt, presidente nacional da ABES. “A semana mobiliza há anos diferentes entidades e pessoas para desenvolverem desde atividades lúdicas até atividades de capacitação e discussões institucionais”, disse Jussara Kalil Pires, presidente da ABES-RS.

Com o tema “Cuide da Água. Compartilhe Saúde”, o seminário contou na abertura com a participação de autoridades e representantes do setor, que salientaram a importância do assunto, devido à crise gerada pela pandemia da Covid-19 e de mudanças climáticas. A apresentação foi feita por Frederico La Rosa, secretário executivo da mobilização.

“Temos que cuidar da água mais do que nunca. Por isso, estamos trabalhando fortemente para aumentar nossa eficiência, melhorar os serviços e agregar tecnologias em nossos negócios para que possamos ter um plano viável a fim de atingir as metas de universalização”, expôs Roberto Barbuti, diretor-presidente da Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento (Corsan).

O secretário do Meio Ambiente e Infraestrutura do Rio Grande do Sul, Artur Lemos Júnior, destacou a parceria com a ação e o compromisso do poder público no gerenciamento adequado dos recursos hídricos a fim de assegurar os serviços de saneamento à população.

“É um dia para debater e discutir, sem perder o horizonte da execução, pois quando “colocamos a mão na massa” começamos a ter efetivamente o retorno da aplicação de políticas públicas e daquilo que a sociedade espera de nós”, comentou Lemos.

As atividades da iniciativa serão realizadas até 3 de outubro, envolvendo sociedade, entidades, órgãos públicos e empresas, com o intuito de conscientizar a todos para a preservação e cuidado com a água. “Estamos no caminho para impactar positivamente na qualidade de vida da comunidade”, completou Haydée Aguadé, diretora da Associação Interamericana de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental (AIDIS).

Educação ambiental

O primeiro debate do evento contou com palestras e apresentações de cases sobre educação ambiental, com a mediação de Paulo Renato Paim, diretor do Departamento de Recursos Hídricos e Saneamento da Secretaria do Meio Ambiente e Infraestrutura do Rio Grande do Sul.

O encontro teve a participação de Liliani Cafruni, diretora de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade da Corsan, Dione Kitzamann, docente do Instituto de Oceanografia, na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande e Renata Ferraz, docente do Programa de Pós-graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade São Judas Tadeu.

Na oportunidade, as especialistas expuseram a importância da educação ambiental aliada a políticas públicas saudáveis, fortalecimento de ações socioambientais, consumo consciente, além da apresentação do projeto H2OJE, plataforma de informações e conteúdos interativos e lúdicos sobre sustentabilidade.
