Seguindo nossa série de reportagens, trazemos as medidas adotadas pela Companhia de Saneamento de Goiás em meio à pandemia e a visão dos sanitaristas na linha de frente no combate à Covid-19.

Precaução, responsabilidade e otimismo. Esses são alguns dos sentimentos dos profissionais da Companhia de Saneamento de Goiás (Saneago) no enfrentamento da Covid-19. Considerado serviço essencial, o saneamento é peça fundamental para garantir as medidas de higiene contra coronavírus. Por isso, os sanitaristas mantêm suas atividades no dia a dia, redobrando os cuidados tanto no trabalho quanto na vida familiar.
“Meus filhos estão em casa, então tento manter o ambiente de casa o mais higienizado possível, principalmente, por eu não estar de quarentena”, conta Danielle Borges, 43, gerente de negócios da Saneago. Ela explica que aumentou a preocupação com a higiene e o uso de máscara passou a fazer parte da rotina, assim como o distanciamento para conter a proliferação do vírus.
“Desde o início da quarentena, não abraço meus pais, os vejo somente de longe. Nunca um abraço fez tanta falta”, lamenta. Apesar do momento, Danielle se sente responsável por ajudar a levar água tratada às casas das pessoas e colaborar no combate à doença.
“Sem nosso trabalho, vírus letais como esse podem circular de forma muito mais rápida”, frisa ela, que deixa um recado. “Se puder fique em casa. Se não, cuide-se, use máscaras, evite contato. Estamos aqui trabalhando para ajudar a conter essa pandemia”, recomenda.
Wagner Antônio Marques, 40, agente de sistemas, se diz preocupado com o coronavírus: “É uma doença nova que não sabemos todas as consequências que podem acontecer”, relata.
Diante disso, ele mantém os cuidados no trabalho, como uso de máscara, higienização das mãos e restrição de contato físico. Já ao chegar em casa, segue também as orientações recomendadas pelas autoridades de saúde. “Coloco a roupa suja em ambiente separado, não entro com os sapatos para dentro de casa e já tomo banho imediatamente após a chegada”, afirma.
Apesar do risco de exposição, Wagner mostra-se orgulhoso por contribuir com o saneamento, ainda mais importante diante dessa pandemia. “Me sinto gratificado por poder fazer a minha parte e poder ajudar a população nesse momento tão difícil”, expõe.
Medidas da Saneago para prevenção da Covid-19
A Companhia distribuiu mais de 15 mil máscaras de proteção aos colaboradores, assim como álcool gel em todas as suas unidades. Além disso, criou uma comissão de crise contra o coronavírus, fortaleceu os canais online de atendimento e adotou ações para garantir o acesso da população à água.
“Para assegurar que a água chegue às torneiras de todos os nossos clientes, estão suspensos os cortes para inadimplentes. Também está sendo elaborado um programa de renegociação de débito”, explica Ricardo Soavinski, presidente da Companhia.
A seguir, Soavinski fala sobre as medidas de proteção aos funcionários e as ações para assegurar os serviços de saneamento e ajudar a população a encarar o coronavírus.
Portal ABES – Segundo orientação da Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS), lavar as mãos é uma das principais formas de prevenção contra a Covid-19. Com isso, quais medidas estão sendo tomadas pela Saneago para assegurar o abastecimento diário de água para a população?
Ricardo Soavinski – Para monitorar a evolução do cenário e os impactos sobre as rotinas dos colaboradores e clientes, a Saneago criou uma Comissão de Crise, Acompanhamento e Combate à Propagação do Coronavírus. Perante a situação de emergência em saúde pública decorrente do novo coronavírus, a prioridade é garantir a operação contínua dos sistemas de abastecimento de água tratada e esgotamento sanitário.
As equipes operacionais estão atuando diariamente, tanto nos serviços cotidianos – infraestruturas de produção e distribuição de água, bem como de coleta, afastamento e tratamento de esgoto – quanto na realização de obras.
A Companhia também se prepara para o enfrentamento da estiagem deste ano. Intervenções estruturais nos sistemas de abastecimento de água, como a perfuração/interligação de poços tubulares profundos e a implementação de reformas em estações de tratamento e reservatórios, estão em execução.
Demais atividades com foco em minimizar os efeitos do período de seca não deixaram de ser efetuadas. Combate às perdas de água na distribuição, melhorias nos processos de automação, ações de proteção e recuperação de nascentes e matas ciliares, pesquisa de mananciais e elaboração de estudos hidrológicos, por exemplo, estão entre essas iniciativas.
Portal ABES – Além de assegurar os serviços essenciais, quais outras ações foram adotadas até o momento pela Companhia para ajudar no combate ao coronavírus?
Ricardo Soavinski – Acompanhando as medidas adotadas pelo Governo de Goiás no combate à propagação do novo coronavírus, a Saneago implantou uma série de ações para que os trabalhos sejam realizados sem oferecer riscos aos empregados e aos clientes.
Para assegurar que a água chegue às torneiras de todos os nossos clientes, estão suspensos os cortes para inadimplentes. Também está sendo elaborado um programa de renegociação de débito.
Além disso, a Companhia repassou à Organização das Voluntárias de Goiás 26 toneladas de alimentos e 12 mil produtos de higiene, resultado de campanha de doação de funcionários a famílias economicamente vulneráveis.
Fortalecemos o atendimento ao cliente por meio de canais não presenciais e gratuitos. Para solicitar serviços ou esclarecer dúvidas, a população pode entrar em contato pela central, site, aplicativo para smartphones e redes sociais.
Portal ABES – Em relação aos cuidados com os funcionários, quais medidas foram realizadas para garantir a segurança e evitar a proliferação do vírus entre os colaboradores?
Ricardo Soavinski – Para garantir a segurança dos colaboradores, a Saneago colocou em prática diversas ações, como: proibição de eventos e cursos que reúnam aglomeração de pessoas; dispensa de estagiários, jovens aprendizes, empregados acima dos 70 anos e pertencentes a grupos de risco; reforço na higienização e disponibilização de álcool em gel para todas as unidades.
Para evitar aglomerações nos escritórios, em algumas funções foi adotado regime de revezamento, teletrabalho, bem como implantada a distribuição on-line dos serviços. Também ocorreu entrega em todas as unidades da Companhia no estado de Goiás mais de 9 mil máscaras de proteção – sendo 3 mil do modelo PFF2, para aqueles que atuam na operação dos sistemas de esgoto, e 6.480 de algodão para os demais.
Portal ABES – Diante do atual cenário de pandemia no País, qual o papel do setor de saneamento no enfrentamento dessa crise?
Ricardo Soavinski – Presente em 226 municípios goianos e responsável pelo atendimento de mais de seis milhões de pessoas, a Saneago fornece um serviço essencial à população, especialmente neste momento, em que o melhor meio de prevenção é manter os hábitos de higiene pessoal e coletiva.
Portal ABES – Essa pandemia tem afetado de alguma forma os projetos de saneamento da Companhia? Houve algum impacto até o momento?
Ricardo Soavinski – Estamos fazendo nosso melhor para nos ajustar à situação. Contamos com uma estrutura moderna e equipes capacitadas. Com isso, somos capazes de suportar o aumento no consumo de água e estamos monitorando e nos precavendo a outras possíveis consequências da pandemia.
As obras não foram paralisadas e continuam em todo o estado. Isso demonstra nosso compromisso não só com a operação contínua dos nossos sistemas, mas também com as demandas futuras, como no período de estiagem. Mantemos a disponibilidade de nossos serviços, de qualquer forma, precisamos nos adaptar.
