Neste domingo, 18 de março, Álvaro Diogo Teixeira, coordenador nacional do Programa Jovens Profissionais do Saneamento da ABES, e Thomas Ficarelli, que coordena o JPS-SP, participaram do primeiro dia de atividades do 8º Fórum Mundial da Água, que acontece em Brasília/DF até o dia 23 de março.
Eles participaram de um workshop, na Vila Cidadã, que reuniu mais de 60 jovens, representantes de diferentes países do mundo, como Peru, Paraguai, Colômbia, Líbano Nicarágua, Honduras, Itália, Japão e Cazaquistão, para contarem quais foram os principais tópicos discutidos, em seu país ou região, no aquecimento do Fórum. Thomas Ficarelli e Álvaro Teixeira apresentaram a experiência do a Brasil. Por aqui, os eventos rumo ao evento foram realizados em São Paulo, Belém do Pará, Belo Horizonte, Mato Grosso do Sul e no Maranhão.
O workshop contou, ainda, com as participações de representantes outros grupos brasileiros, como o Parlamento 
Nacional da Juventude pela Água – PNJA e do World Water Council Youth Delegates, associado da WWC.
“A troca foi muito rica”, frisou Thomas Ficarelli. Para ele, “foi maravilhoso” ver a articulação para que fossem realizadas cerca de 200 reuniões de esquenta do Fórum em todo o mundo. “É uma grande vitória. Estamos começando a conhecer os jovens para estreitar possíveis laços do Brasil com outras realidades”, ressaltou o coordenador do JPS-SP. “O Álvaro Teixeira está articulando bem a questão da América Latina no âmbito da Associação Interamericana de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental – AIDIS, mas também é dá para ver com outros países. Existem muitas coisas em comum por mais diferentes que sejam as línguas e etnias”, concluiu.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids.
