Nesta segunda, 19 de março, o engenheiro Alceu Guérios Bittencourt, conselheiro da ABES-SP, participou da Plenária do Processo Temático, que abriu a programação do 8º Fórum Mundial da Água, em Brasília, no Distrito Federal – evento acontece até sexta, 23. A plenária foi realizada no Centro de Convenções Ulysses Guimarães e contou com participações de outras entidades como Funasa e ANA.
Alceu é um dos quatro brasileiros que integram a Comissão Temática do Fórum e um dos oito especialistas mundiais do grupo desta edição do evento. “O Fórum está sendo surpreendente pelo grande número de pessoas”, destacou o engenheiro. “Comparando ao Fórum da Coréia, o fluxo de pessoas lá era menor”, analisou ele. “A movimentação aqui está sendo muito grande e as discussões estão sendo interessantes. Estou impressionado”, enfatizou.

O coordenador da Câmara Técnica de Recursos Hídricos da ABES-SP e diretor da seção, Luis Eduardo Grisoto, participou, nesta segunda, 19 de março, no Fórum Mundial da Água, do debate “Parcerias para Implementação dos Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável: Desafios da Proteção da Água”, trabalho da Universidade de São Paulo – USP, em parceria com o município de São Bernardo do Campo.
O evento, que foi promovido pelo Comité de Bacia PCJ, aconteceu no Espaço São Paulo, no Estádio Nacional de Brasília Mané Garrincha, em Brasília/DF e contou com palestras de Patricia Iglesias e Tamara Gomes, ambas da Superintendência de Gestão Ambiental da USP.
O diretor da ABES-SP destacou dois aspectos que segundo ele precisam ser considerados neste tema abordado. “O que chama atenção para a proteção dos mananciais da Grande São Paulo, que por excelência é uma região complexa com diversos desafios”, destacou Luis Eduardo Grisotto . Conforme explicou o engenheiro, o primeiro desafio diz respeito à própria complexidade da região metropolitana, que tem 54% de área de manancial. “Isso significa que o crescimento urbano tende sempre a ir ao encontro da área de mananciais”, disse. “Por esta razão, a fiscalização de territórios e o monitoramento são importantes. A fiscalização da prefeitura e das instituições é essencial”, enfatizou.
O segundo ponto, de acordo com Grisotto, é a necessidade de integração setorial. “Não é mais possível resolver problemas em mananciais, em favelas que invadem essas áreas, sem considerar as questões de habitação, contenção geotécnica, coleta e tratamento de esgoto, abastecimento de água, drenagem, micro e macro drenagem. O ponto de vista para resolver a questão deve ser integrado, tanto técnico quanto financeiro”, concluiu.

No primeiro dia do Fórum, a ABES promoveu debate sobre a MP do Saneamento, no Espaço São Paulo, na Vila Cidadã (leia mais aqui).

Benedito Braga: evento de sucesso
O presidente do Conselho Mundial da Água e secretario de Recursos Hídricos do Estado de São Paulo, Benedito Braga, falou à ABES sobre a importância da 8ª edição do Fórum. “O maior evento da comunidade de recursos hídricos do mundo, que procura trazer a comunidade técnica, científica e profissionais que conhecem o assunto junto aqueles que tomam decisões: os políticos”, frisou. “Temos sido muito exitosos nessa empreitada. Abrimos o Fórum hoje, com 12 chefes de Estado, embaixadores e senadores. São pessoas que podem fazer a diferença e estamos satisfeitos. O Governo Federal e o governo do Distrito Federal estão de parabéns por terem organizado junto conosco um evento dessa magnitude”, finalizou ele.
